Thanks For The Lift

Hello all! Yesterday was the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. I hope you all had fun participating and viewing all the amazing projects. This months hop was all about fabulous felt and the many unique and fun was to use it. I'm a day late but, here is my felt creation...Using the Up, Up & Away die, I cut the hot air balloons from Simply Chartreuse, Hawaiian Shores & Raspberry Fizz felt. Stamped the balloon images (from Up, Up & Away stamp set) onto the felt using Pallette Noir and attached them over a white cardstock panel, stamped with clouds and a sentiment, in Aqua Mist and True Black. Scor-Tape works wonderful for the job of attaching felt to cardstock. Next, tied the white cloud panel with 1/8" white silk ribbon and attached it all to a Hawaiian Shores card base.
Finished the card off by embellishing the balloons with Stickles glitter glue and a True Black flower button. Card measures 7" X 3.5".

Tomorrow is an exciting day! Embellish Magazine will be hosting a super fun Blog Hop, celebrating their Premier Issue! Be sure you all stop by the Embellish blog for the start of the hop and even win some prizes!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit today, hope you have a wonderful one!

Springtime Doodles Thanks

Happy Friday!!! Got some Springtime Doodles for you today... I love to create cards using a rainbow color theme, especially now that spring is literally around the corner (tomorrow). I stamped the butterflies from Springtime Doodles onto cardstock rectangles and embellish them with matching buttons.
Attached them to the base, making sure to pop some up for some dimension.
Stamped the sentiment in black. To help it stand out a bit more, I added a matching black button and ribbon tab. Super easy!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Wonderfully Whimsical Smile

Happy Tuesday everyone! I gave my Wonderfully Whimsical set a bit more love the other day and this is what came of it... Stamped the row of houses in Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst and Summer Sunrise. Gave them each lawns, using New Leaf cardstock cut with the new RickRack Border die and stamped a happy little sentiment.
I am loving the new Mini Scrapbook Series: Tabs set, can't you tell?! Stamped and cut out a couple polka dot tabs, to create cute little button tab embellishments. Such a fun detail to match those adorable houses, wouldn't you say?

Thanks for stopping by, hope you are having a great start to your week!

Just Because

Hello my friends! Aren't these flowers from the Year of Flowers: Violets stamp set just gorgeous! I just had to play with the set again. My last violet card showcased the flower as the focal point, this time I used the image as more of a background... Stamped the violets and leaves in Pure Poppy onto Berry Sorbet cardstock and pulled out my embroidery floss to tie a few french knots onto the flower centers.
Love the texture the french knots add!
Fillable Frames #1 and the matching die are a must have (IMO), the possibles with them are endless. I die cut the frame from White cardstock, stamped it and the sentiment in Pure Poppy. Stamped an additional violet into the frame, in Berry Sorbet, then embellished with french knots and a ribbon tab.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed!

I Heart Paper Crafting!

I heart this sentiment! Used the jar full of buttons, from Studio Style, to stamp in a rainbow of colors. A great way to use this set and add a variety of color to your card, with out having to color it in. Super easy too!
To stay with the rainbow color scheme, I created a rainbow ribbon border. Just loop ribbon tabs and attach behind the stamped panel. I made sure to use a variety of different ribbon types, to give the card fun texture and interest. Such a cheery card, it makes me happy!!!

Hope you all have a fun day!

Practicing Creativity

Hello! Thought I would share another You're Dandy card today... Created the cloud pattern paper by stamping the outline cloud in versamark and the solid cloud in white. Punched the edge of the pattern paper with Embossed Curves Border Punch, attached it over a white cardstock strip, onto the kraft card base and wrapped with Raspberry Fizz grosgrain ribbon.
Isn't this kite just too cute?! I love how Courtney design this image. She created the kite string to be flexible, so it could be curved giving the kite some movement. Stamped the kite, bows and the sentiment onto a punched circle, which fits perfectly over the curves of the punched border. Stamped the kite a second time on Raspberry Fizz cardstock, cut it out and adhered with dimensional adhesive.

Stop on by Courtneys blog for the latest on this stamp set and for more inspiration. Have a wonderful day!

Blooming Birthday

Hello my friends! Hope you are all doing great. In my corner of this world that I call home, some rain has snuck up on us today. It's gloomy and wet, but I don't mind it at all. I love weather like this!

So, check out today's card...
I love this card in brown! But wouldn't it look great in raspberry, purple, red or any other color you heart desires? These flowers, from In Bloom, look so gorgeous stamped in cream ink onto any dark cardstock.
Finish it off with some glitter and you've got yourself a simply elegant creation.

I must be on some odd sized card kick, I haven't posted a regular A2 card in a while. Hope you don't mind. I just love how you can use a layout, that you would normally use for an A2 card, on a different sized/shape card and get a completely new and different look to the very same layout. Great way to boost your creativity, with out having to think too hard.

As always, thank you for stopping by today!

Butterfly Wishes

Happy Tuesday to you all!

One of my favorite things to do with the butterfly image from With Sympathy is to stamp it onto small punched circles. As done before on this and this card. I love how they can be rotated to flutter by in all directions and then be embellished with glitter, rhinestones or what ever. This time they were stamped in summer sunrise and berry sorbet onto punched kraft cardstock circles, adhered to the left side of a polka dot stamped block, and then embellished with rhinestones. Rounded the corners (another one of my favorite things to do) of the polka dot block to coordinate with the butterfly circles.

Finished the card off with a sentiment (a rhinestone dot for the I) then wrapped with white embroidery floss.

Things are starting to go back to normal again around here, my Mother-in-law left for home today (so sorry to see her go). Well that's all from me today. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Embellish Leaves, Acorns & Pine Cones Color Challenge

Hello my friends! The latest challenge over at Embellish is inspired by the autumn season, perfectly fitting since most of us are still finishing our Thanksgiving leftovers. So here is my fall submission... I don't really own any fall type stamps but I did happen to pick up some pattern paper and acrylic frames, from the Making Memories Autumn Splendor Collection, on sale from the craft store. The frame was backed with cream cardstock, stamped with a sentiment, wrapped and tied with ribbon then attached to the card base over a leafy pattern paper strip. I kept the card simple, to not distract to much from the shimmery frame (the shimmer is hard to see in the photo but it's there).

So do any of you already have your Christmas trees up? I am thinking of putting mine up tonight.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi Friend

Hello there! Hope you had a great weekend. So how about an idea for those bits of scrap ribbon we all have laying around...
The ribbon strips were adhered to the left side of the card base. Next I strung buttons onto twine, wrapped the twine around a white strip of cardstock. Stamped the sentiment in black (from Beautiful Blooms) then adhered the strip over the end of the ribbon onto the card base with dimensional adhesive.

Hope you found this helpful. Have a wonderful start to your week and thanks for stopping in today!

Paper Tearing Challenge

Greetings! Over at the Hero Arts Blog they were having a Paper Tearing Challenge. So I had combined the Hero Arts Challenge with the latest colors from the Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #18... I don't own very many of their stamps. But this seamed like a great opportunity to create something using minimal Hero Arts stamps since I only own one Christmas set, a sentiment stamp set.

The tree was created by tearing layers of cardstock, adhering them together then cutting away the excess to form the tree shape. Then embellished with a raspberry star and rhinestones.
The snow was torn from cream cardstock, crinkled then adhered to the card base and then the torn edge was lifted for a little dimension. The card base was stamped with a few snowflakes from Winter Swirls set in Versamark.
Hope you enjoyed your visit with me today, have a wonderful day!

M's Sketch Challenge #2

Hey everyone and happy Friday! Savitri's adorable daughter Emma is at it again, she has created another great card design for her second sketch challenge. I hope I haven't strayed too far from the original sketch, but here is what I came up with...Along with our challenge cards we are to share what we were inspired by. As you can probably tell already, I was inspired by this card I posted yesterday. I just couldn't get over how cute those ornaments look hanging from embroidery floss and for some reason I can't seam to put this houndstooth stamp down either.

I think I have found my new favorite Christmas color combo: Aqua Mist, Melon Berry and Rustic Cream.

Thanks for stopping in today, hope you have a blessed weekend!
