Ombre Stripes Paper Collection Countdown Day 4

Hey there! I'm back today for day 4 of the November Papertrey Ink coundown.
And yes you've guessed it, with another Ombre Stripes pattern paper sample. This time in tag form, with a last minute Christmas tag idea.
Pure poppy and new leaf ombre stripes look great on top of a Folded Tags die, cut from kraft cardstock.  A Fab Flakes snowflake (soon to be available), a Wet Paint "Joy", and bit of silk ribbon finish these tags off perfectly.
Here's How: I die cut the tag base from kraft cardstock, then die cut the pattern paper using only the top portion of the die, and then attached the two together after folding.

Well, that concludes today's look at Ombre Stripes paper collection and Fab FlakesJust remember... these items will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning November 15th.

Folded Tags Dies Day 5

Hello and welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink October countdown!
Tomorrow night is the big release day!  When you can get your own hands on these Folded Tags dies!  I did mention earlier that this set includes two identical tags that are wired together but, today is the day that these dies are featured on the Papertrey Ink blog.  All the details such as size, cost and even more inspirational ideas can be found there today.  Don't miss it!
Also featured today are a few new items...  Wet Paint Holiday Tags stamps + dies, Star Scribbles stamps + dies, Star Scribbles foiled paper collection and the Wet Paint Alphabet dies.  I've featured some of these in today's tag trio.  Along with a fun holiday color combo of hibiscus burst, ocean tides, simply chartreuse, gold and black.
Here I've combined together the Wet Paint Holiday and Star Scribbles stamp sets, on top of a Folded Tag.
I even pulled out Treetops Glisten to create a bright and cheery line of treetops.

Well, that concludes today's look at Folded Tags dies. Just remember... the tag dies you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning October 15th

Folded Tags Dies Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink October countdown!
Today my focus is on something other than Christmas.  I'm here to show you just how versatile these little tags are!  So, I've got a tag duo perfect for a celebration of love.  Honestly these designs could work for other commonly celebrated occasions, like birthdays!
I love a simple color combo of neutrals and metallics.  Metallics make the perfect pop in a simple design.  The dots are from the previously released Good Times stamp set.  Here they are layered at the top of the tag in black ink.
Those same dots are layered in gold onto the inside of the second tag. "Love" is from the Make it Market Mini: Garden Gild stamp set.
Here's a quick shot of the insides. FYI... A touch of adhesive on either side of the top hole keeps everything in place nicely.

Well, that concludes today's look at Folded Tags dies. Just remember... the tag dies you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning October 15th

Folded Tags Dies Day 3

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink October countdown!
And yes, I'm back with more folded tags!  I hope you guys are loving this new tag design.  Here's a couple more samples for you.
These tags were made for pattern paper!  The one sided pattern papers give you a pattern on the outside and a clean surface on the inside.  Perfect for writing a message clearly on the inside. It also gives you a nice bit of contrast between the two visible layers.
I layered images from the Mini Market Kit: Holiday Folk stamp set and snowflakes from the Snowflake Medallion die onto aqua mist pattern paper.

I then touched up the cute characters with a little shine using my Stella of Wink paint pen.

Well, that concludes today's look at Folded Tags dies. Just remember... the tag dies you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning October 15th

Folded Tags Dies Day 1

Hi there! Welcome to day one of the October Papertrey Ink countdown.

First things first...  I'm sure some of you have heard this news already, but if not... I am leaving the Papertrey Ink senior design team.  It was a tough decision to come to terms with, but it is what's necessary for me and my family at this time.  However, I do plan on sticking around the Papertrey Ink camp by continuing on as a product designer.  Yay!

With that said, I do have a new Stamping Simply design being release this month.  Let me briefly introduce you to Folded Tags dies...
These are two tag dies wired together. Two tags can be cut at one time.  This is perfect for cranking out those Christmas tags! The curved end is cut just a bit shorter than the squared end, letting a bit of the interior peek out.
Scored lines aid you in assembly and allow the tag to open up.  This features is also perfect for adding an interactive element to your cards!
Just a touch of pattern paper was added to the interior, it adds a nice pop of color to both the outside and inside of this tag duo.

Well, that concludes today's look at Folded Tags dies. Just remember... the tag dies you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning October 15th

Now, be sure to visit Papertrey Ink blog for more details on today's featured new product.

Papertrey Ink September Release Projects

The Papertrey Ink September countdown is about to come to an end and I'm here to share my final projects with you today. But, before I do, let me remind you that everything you've seen peeks of will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink beginning 10 pm EST tonight.

Now, let me get right to it!...
Let me begin with the non-Christmas card using Keep It Simple: Surgery by Nichole Heady and Tucked In: Get Well by Dawn McVey.
I combined both with the So Striking stamp set and dies.  Silly me, I forgot to capture a shot of the inside of the card.  Inside is the same sun image paired with a sentiment from the Tucked In: Get Well stamp set.  Sorry.
And now back to Christmas...
Enclosed: Bell by Dawn McVey.
Paired with a pattern paper sheet from Treetops Glisten paper pad.
Deck the Halls by Dawn McVey.
This too was paired with a pattern paper sheet from Treetops Glisten paper pad.
And I've got one last Treetops Glisten stamp set sample for you.
A bright and bold combo, proving just how versatile this stamp set truly is.

Well, that about covers it.  Be sure to check out the rest of the design teams fabulous projects as well...
Thanks for stopping by!

Introducing Make It Market Mini Kit: Holiday Folk + Treetops Glisten

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink September countdown!
I'm having a hard time believing it's really that time of year!  Time to plan out those Christmas cards already.  I'm ready though.  Christmas cards are some of my faves to make.  Today I've got a simple design idea that will have you cranking out those cards in no time!
The layout is basic, it features a panel die cut either from pattern paper or card stock.  Here I've used the Sentiment Splits: Angle Vertical die to cut a panel from a sheet of the Make It Marker Mini Kit: Holiday Folk pattern paper pad.
I simply attached the panel to the card base with dimensional adhesive, stamped the sentiment along the bottom angled edge, wrapped with twine and embellished with wooden stars from the Make It Marker Mini Kit: Holiday Folk.  Once the stars were glued in place I touched them up with my Wink of Stella brush pen in gold.
This card is a bit more involved, stamping wise. The layout is basically the same as above but done with the use of the Sentiment Splits: Angle Horizontal die.
The panel was die cut from white cardstock and then stamped with the tree image from the Make It Marker Mini Kit: Holiday Folk stamp set.  I used a color combo of new leaf, ocean tides and pinefeather.  I couldn't help but trim apart that stacked sentiment, it's such a fun look!
I've got another card duo for you, using the same basic card pattern as above.  This time using pattern paper and stamps from the Treetops Glisten collection.
This triangle tree pattern is so versatile!  You can add your own stamped "colored" trees to the black trunks on the white/kraft triangle paper!  Allowing you to personalize and coordinate to your hearts desire.
Here I've stamped the ornament dots in raspberry fizz and gold over the trunks. For a little more pop of color I wrapped the card with green embroidery floss.
This pattern paper comes in both a horizontal and vertical orientation.
Stamp on the trunks or not, like I've done on this last card.  I just switched it up for you here.  So many options in both the pattern paper and today's basic card pattern.

Well, that concludes today's look at Make It Market Mini Kit: Holiday Folk and the Treetops Glisten collection. Just remember... all that you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning September 15th.  More details on these products can be found at the Papertrey Ink blog.

Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...

Monthly Moments: December

Hi there! Welcome to day three of the December Papertrey Ink countdown.  I'm joining the design team today in sharing sneak peeks of the new Monthly Moments: December.  Feels good to squeeze in one more Christmas project! I've got a Christmas "thank you" greeting perfect for after the big holiday. I just love the little bits and pieces included in this set!  I had fun exploring the possibilities of each of them and I think I've come to some pretty fun results.

Let me get right to the project...
This simple little number began with a soft stone card base, adding a touch of color.  A sentiment from the Holiday Thanks stamp set was stamp onto a white cardstock strip.
Before attaching the sentiment strip I took the small and large bough images and stamped them onto the card base allowing them to peek out from the edges.  Then finished the card off with a few enamel dots.

Well, that concludes today's look at Monthly Moments: December. Just remember... this set will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning December 15th

Santa Stationery Revisited

Thanks for joining me today for the December Papertrey Ink Senior DT Challenge. This time around we are bringing back Santa Stationery
Quick and easy is the theme for my projects today.  Since Christmas will be here before we know it, we all can use some ideas for the kids that can be executed in not time flat.
Here's a fun little Santa ensemble using today's featured stamp set.
First up, the official nice list declaration. The base of this declaration was die cut from pattern paper using the Card Base-ics #2 die.  I trimmed a cardstock panel to fit on top measuring 4 3/4" by 3 1/2" allowing a bit of the pattern paper to show as a border.  This is sized perfectly to fit into a basic A2 (typical card sized) envelope.
Santa was stamped first in pure poppy and then the wording in true black over him.  The Type Strips are a fun way to include the child's name and a golden Sketched Star makes for a sweet shimmering touch.  These embellishments aren't necessary but they add a fun touch.
Can't forget about the coordinating gift tag!  This one was created using the Folded Foodie Tag die.  Santa's cheerful face was stamped over the edge and topped with a die cut "joy".  Then tied with bakers twine and embellished with a star rhinestone. Easy peasy!
For an added special touch... the inside was personalized.

Well, that's it from me today. Hope you enjoy this month feature! Now be sure to visit the other Papertrey Ink senior design team girls for more Santa Stationery goodness...
Thanks for stopping by today!
