Introducing Background Basics: Vines Day One

Hello, my friends! Today is day one of the Papertrey Ink countdown, hooray! So, today I bring you the first sample of my newest July stamp set... Background Basics: Vines. This set will be available for purchase beginning July 15th, through Papertrey Ink, for $15. It includes three background building strips, two of which I will share with you today...First up, a sample using the image from the preview Nichole and I shared with you the other day. This background building strip consists of two leafy vines, making pattern building quick and easy. I've been pleasantly surprised at how easy these leafy vine images, included in this set, are to line up! So, for this card I quickly stamped a few rows of vines in Simply Chartreuse onto a Rustic White card base and rounded the bottom corner.I stamped the violet and leaves, from Year Of Flowers: Violets onto Plum Pudding and Spring Moss cardstock. Then colored, cut out and attached. Here's A Tip: To give your flowers a more realistic look, cut the petals apart and bend slightly to add movement.Next up, a simple little number with a bit of added texture. This time I used the larger single vine image, which consists of a open and solid leaf combo. Stamped each vine at different lengths, using Simply Chartreuse ink, onto a Rustic White card base.Stamped the sentiment in True Black and then added a touch of Glossy Accents to some of the leaves. Once dry, I wrapped the card with ribbon.

Well, that concludes my first look at Background Basics: Vines. I truly hope that you've enjoyed! I'd love to know what you think, so please share!

Now, be sure to visit Nichole Heady Melissa Bickford and Besty Veldman for a sweet peek at Sweet As Can Be & Hanging Out. Also, Lisa Johnson & Heather Nichols have peeks to share with you of their newest sets for the month.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Maile
