Studio Calico November Kit Release

Hi there! This months Studio Calico kits and stamp sets are great! And so... I've got a lot to share with you. Today I bring you my cards from the Cuppa kit release.  I've put to use the Card Kit as well as the Gingerbread and Cinnamon Spice add-ons

Let me share...
This pattern paper is soooooo cool!
I had fun playing with the direction of its pattern and used it to draw all of the attention to the sentiment stamped on the card.  All supplies used are from the Cuppa Card Kit.
Used this beautiful sentiment to create a sweet baby girl card.
The falling star pattern paper was a perfect fit for the theme and the gold bow made the ideal embellishment.  All supplies from the Cuppa Card Kit.
Hand stamped arrows draw attention to this heartfelt message.
This cool card features a trendy color combo and chevron washi tape. I just love this narrow tape! A wooden button tied with gray embroidery floss makes the perfect finishing touch.  All supplies are from the Cuppa Card Kit.
This simple holiday card design is perfect for whipping up a set of Christmas cards in a jiffy.
Plus, its low/flat profile makes it ideal for mailing.  All supplies are from the Cuppa Card Kit, Gingerbread and Cinnamon Spice add-ons.

There you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Papertrey Ink November Release Projects

The Papertrey Ink November countdown is about to come to an end and I'm here to share my final projects with you today. But, before I do, let me remind you that everything you've seen peeks of will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink beginning 10 pm EST tonight.

Now, let me get started!...
Stitched with Love by Melissa Bickford.
This sweet little one-layer card was creating using images from this one set alone, in a pretty color combo of summer sunrise, ocean tides, true black and Hero Arts wet cement.
Boutique Borders: Congrats by Dawn McVey.
Pretty sure this is my favorite border out of the collection so far.  I've created an ombre effect using the colors raspberry fizz, orange zest and summer sunrise.
Polka Dot Parade #10 by Melissa Bickford.
I've combined this set with the new Strip Stitch die to create a colorful faux stitched border.  To create the look of a straight stitch, I used the solid line image from the Confetti Garland Borders stamp set.
Wonderful Words: Congrats by Heather Nichols.
This cool card really lets the coordinating die take the show!

Well, that's all of them!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Teams fabulous projects as well...
Thanks for stopping by!

Introducing Inside & Out Well Wishes

Welcome to the final day of the Papertrey Ink November countdown and the second design team group post day. Today's group post is all about the new Inside & Out: Well Wishes stamp set. This is such a heartfelt set!  The mix of fonts makes this set a pleasure to work with and they look great with pretty much any image you choose.  The recipients of a special card created with one of these meaningful messages is sure to feel the love.

Here's what I've got for you today...
First up, a masculine version.  I've paired Inside & Out: Well Wishes with the old fashion camera image from the Shutterbug Special stamp set.
I pulled out my Tipped Tops die collection and die cut a few pieces from white (large), enchanted evening (large) and soft stone (small).  Stamped the white panel and attached the others to the card base as shown above.
Then finished the card off with a few soft stone buttons and twine.
Here's my feminine take.  I've paired Inside & Out: Well Wishes with the previously released Comfort Food stamp set.  Again, I pulled out my new Tipped Tops die collection and went to town.
I stamped the bowl full of warm soup in melon berry and embellished it with a tiny flower and leaf from the Mini Blooms stamp set, stamped in smokey shadow.

Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember...  the new Inside & Out: Well Wishes stamp set will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning November 15th

Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Introducing Everyday Happiness & Year Round Happiness

Hello and welcome to the fourth day of the Papertrey Ink November countdown and the first Design Team group post!

Today's group post is all about showcasing the new One Lines: Happy dies and the companion stamp sets, Everyday Happiness and Year Round Happiness.  I just adore this new die set, they make the perfect companion to just about any old or new set included in my stamp collection (and yours too!).  Plus, the coordinating sentiment sets make covering any occasion a breeze!

Here's what I've cooked up for you today...
This first happy number features the banner one-liner die combined with the previously release Beautiful Butterflies stamp set.  Aren't these Tipped Tops dies fantastic!!!  They are so easy to work with and if you haven't already noticed, totally up my alley!  Thanks Nichole for inventing these priceless tools. More info on them here.
This banner just looks so happy when cut from pretty pattern paper and pairs perfectly with the "for you" from the new Everyday Happiness stamp set.  A few gray gems finish the card off perfectly.
My son and I just adore his teacher this year!  I can't wait to send her this happy little note to share just how much we enjoy having her this year.
I stacked a few "happy" one liner die cuts (cut from a fun assortment of pattern papers) along with a sentiment strip from Year Round Happiness and apple from Apple Prints.

Well, that concludes my look at One Lines: Happy dies and the companion stamp setsJust remember... this collection will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning November 15th

Fancy Footwork

Hi there! Just popping in quickly for day three of the November Papertrey Ink countdown to share a few samples using one of the new sets... Fancy Footwork (designed by Lizzie Jones).  This unique set really make it easy to create some unique anniversary and wedding cards.  I just love how easy it is to incorporate with some other fun previously released sets! Keep in mind that this set will be available for purchase beginning November 15th at Papertrey Ink.

So, let me get right to it...
This first card features a Fancy Footwork focal point.  I stamped two images (one of a man's steps and the other of a woman's steps) onto a white card stock block measuring 2 1/2" square.  I rotated the images in different directions, this way they fit nicely into the center of the square.
Finished the card off with a simmer white cardstock mat, a sentiment and an ocean tides button.  Not too many frills on this one, makes it perfect for the man in your life when celebrating an anniversary.
This next one is a bit fancier.  I used Fancy Footwork to create a golden hand stamped background pattern paper, stamped using gold ink.
I've paired it with a previously released stamp set... With All My Love.  I just love this multi-stamped heart!  I finished the card off with a few more fun touches of gold... in the flowers, a strip of glitter paper and glitter dots.  This card is perfect for celebrating either anniversaries or weddings.
Keeping it simple once more, this time for a one-layer wedding card.  I've combined Fancy Footwork with yet another previously released stamp set... Grand Ampersand.
I began this card by stamping the focal point, the colorful ampersand, which could be stamped in pretty much any color to coordinating with the wedding you will be attending.  Then stamped the sentiment and steps in black diagonally across the card front

Well, that concludes today's look at Fancy Footwork. Just remember... this sets will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning November 15th. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think, so please feel free to share!

Now, be sure to visit Nichole Heady and Lizzie Jones for even more peeks at this setAlso, Heather NicholsDawn McVey & Melissa Bickford have peeks to share with you of their newest sets and dies for the month.

Pattern Paper Layered Christmas Tags

Thanks for joining me today for this weeks Papertrey Ink Design Team Tip!

Today I've got a simple and easy-to-assemble holiday treat for you.  A quick way to dress up all those Christmas gifts... pattern paper layered tags!  This truly is such a simple concept and I've thought to myself many times as I was creating these... Why did I never think of this before?!?!

Check them out...
They feature a pop of color and pattern behind a simply stamped tag, all tied up with a little bit of baker's twine.
Here's How: Start off by die cutting two identically shaped tags, one from pattern paper and the second from cardstock that matches nicely.  Trim the bottom edge off from the cardstock tag and stamp as desired.  Tie the two tags together with ribbon or twine.
My go-to decoration for Christmas gifts consists of... kraft paper wrap, wide ribbon and a pretty tag.  I just love how the pattern paper and hand stamping really pop and make the tag take center stage against the simple wrapping.  This tag was made using the Tag Sale #5 die, a sentiment from from the 'Tis the Season Sentiments stamp set and lights from the Come All Ye Faithful Additions stamp set.
This one features the Tag Sale #5 die and a sentiment from from the 'Tis the Season Sentiments stamp set too.  Along with trees from the Holiday Cheer stamp set.
Here's A Tip:  Using a tag die that features a fancy bottom edge adds yet another interesting and sweet detail.  This one features the Tag Sale #7 die, a sentiment from the 'Tis the Season Sentiments stamp set and snowflakes from the Two Feet Deep stamp sets.
These will definitely take my gift wrapping up a notch this Christmas season, and of course throughout the year for many other occasions too. I hope it does the same for you!  Just a Note:  all pattern papers are from the Studio Calico Gingerbread add on kit.

That's it from me today.  I hope you too will give these adorable tags a try.  Have fun!

Thanks for stopping by.

Love Lives Here: Holiday Revisited

Hey everyone! Thanks for joining me today for the November Papertrey Ink Senior DT Challenge. This time around we are bringing back Love Lives Here: HolidayThe Love Lives Here collection is not one I would gravitate towards instinctively, but boy what treasures these sets truly are.  The holiday version features versatile rustic and simple images that allow for a ton of options.  That alone makes this set a breeze to work with, and it versatility takes it right up my alley.  I love a set with a lot of potential and this ones got exactly that!  Here's a card and tag I've created just for today. I hope you enjoy them.

Take a look...
Each piece is unique. Yet with the use of the same branch image they both would work well together as an ensemble for a gift.
Lets take a closer look at the tag.  The base was created by piecing the bottom portion of a Tag Sale #5 kraft colored die cut onto a white one.
Next, branches were stamped (top and bottom edges) in spring moss.  A few pure poppy ornaments were placed and hung with hand drawn string.  Then a few ocean tide berries were scattered among the branches. Here's a Tip: To hide the edge of the conjoined tags, I covered it with a sentiment.  This is a trick I use a lot, it's a great way to hide imperfections and it also allows me to easily incorporate a larger/longer sentiment that would not otherwise fit the width of my tag.
The card features the Love Lives Here: Holiday angel image.  Plus, the use of the same branch image used on the tag above.  This time the branches were stamped in ocean tides with gold heart berries.
Stamped the angel in smokey shadow and the wings in gold.  Check out that gorgeous shine, fitting for such a pretty image.

Well, that's it from me today. Now be sure to visit the other Papertrey Ink senior design team girls for more Love Lives Here: Holiday goodness...
Thanks for stopping by today!
