HA/PTI Stamp Challenge Day 5

***This is my second post for today. Be sure to stop here to view the previous post.***

It's the 5th and final day of the HA/PTI Stamp Challenge with Jennifer McGuire. Such a bummer that it has to come to an end. I truly have enjoyed working with one of my favorite designers and I've had an amazing time getting to know Jennifer a whole lot better. Thanks Jennifer for allowing me to join you in the fun these last 5 days. And thanks to all of you for tuning in!

Now onto business. Our final challenge is...

combining Hero Arts Outline Magnolia & Papertrey Inks Turning A New Leaf. Here is how it all started for me... Stamped a white card base with the large leaf image, from Turning A New Leaf, in Shabby Shutters distress ink. The smaller matching leaf image was stamped in Peeled Paint distress ink onto white cardstock, cut out and then attached with dimensional adhesive.

The Outline Magnolia was stamped twice. Once onto white cardstock, which I then painted using Glimmer Mist Spray (go here, and scroll down the blog post, for an idea of how this is done), let it dry and cut out. Here's A Tip: For added dimension, the petals of the magnolia were cut and bent up slightly for a more realistic look. Stamped the magnolia a second time onto pink shimmer cardstock and then cut out.
The two magnolia layers were attached together with a single dot of adhesive place in the center. Here is a better look at the dimension that the cut and bent petals add. Also, be sure to scroll to the last photo in this post for a better look at the Glimmer Mist shine.
The assembled magnolia was then attached to the card base atop the leaves. Embellished with black rhinestones and stamped a sentiment from Thoughtful Messages.
Check out that gorgeous shine. Remember to scroll down to the bottom of this post for an idea of how this technique (painting with Glimmer Mist Spray) is done.

Now stop by and see what gorgeousness Jennifer has come up with today! I'm sure she will send this challenge out with a bang!

Hope you all enjoyed this challenge as much as I have! Have a great one!
