Ok, for today's card you all are going to have to take it easy on me. It's another first for me... I've finally made the plunge into the Copic craze! I picked up a few of the Copic trios from Papertrey Ink and boy are they fun. I have no idea what I am doing, but I hope with practice to improve. I kind of cheated on today's card and simply just scribbled onto each of the butterfly wings, from Butterfly Dreams. I really like the way it turned out though!
Tied some Summer Sunrise twill ribbon over the edge, attached a label from Fillable Frames #2 and a sentiment from Fillable Frames #1, then embellished with some black rhinestones.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a great day!
Maile

ReplyDeleteHi Maile,
ReplyDeleteI love IKEA! When my family was visiting CA last week, my mom and sister requested I take them to the nearest IKEA. They loved it.
I only own 3 Copics so far, so I barely started to use them. I love how you added color. Cute card!
Gorgeous card! I love the bright colors. I don't think I would have ever thought to do that with my copics :) Thanks for stopping by my blog!! I always appreciate comments:)
ReplyDeleteI love it, Maile! That kind of copic coloring I think I can do -- thanks for the inspiration!

Ikea *sigh* man, I love that place! I have my PTI buttons stored in their spice jars, they look so pretty! Almost as pretty as this card! Love the bright colours, so clever to add splashes of colour rather than colouring the whole butterfly!

IKEA!! How fun!! In Germany, I had one less than 30 minutes away and I would go there on Saturdays just to hang out! Here...they are so far! IKEA rocks.
ReplyDeleteI'm heavily flirting with the impression plates and Copics right now and I'm afraid I'll fall for them :-)
Beautiful card Maile! Love all of your work!
