Papertrey Favorites

Hello everyone! Hope you are enjoying the Papertrey Ink Anniversary Celebration so far. Today the Design Team is sharing their most favorite Papertrey Ink project from last year.

For me, picking a favorite was easy. I chose this single layer card from the December release...
To me, this is as perfect as a single layer card gets. Not a single embellishment insight, but the card is in no way boring. Lately, I find my self turning to Rustic Cream card stock more and more, as an alternative to a white or cream card base. The tiny visible flecks of fibers keep things interesting.I love the subtle pattern I got when stamping the two bird cages (from Love Birds) in Vintage Touch Chai ink; it adds interest with out distracting from the focal point. A pop of color from stamping the small cage, in Dark Chocolate, and a lonely bird, in Lemon Tart, makes the perfect focal point for the "I miss you" sentiment (all from Love Birds as well).

Now, check out the rest of the Design Teams favorites...

Also, be sure to visit Nichole's blog for a super fun challenge and the chance to win the "Ultimate" Card Kit!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Embellish Color Trends Challenge with Hearts

Embellish Color Challenges are back! Check it out... The Challenge: To create a project using the colors pictured above and to incorporate hearts. The Sponsor: Tiffany Doodles! Check them out here.
For today's project, I've used Labels 3 and Birdies Housework. Started today's card by die cutting three hearts from Pure Poppy cardstock, impressed them with Sheet Music Impression Plate and attached them to a white card base with dimensional adhesive.

Printed the Labes 3 onto Simply Chartreuse cardstock, the birds (from Birdies Housework) onto Hibiscus Burst and Hawaiian Shores, cut out and attached over the hearts. To finish the card off, I stamped "XOXO" and embellished with a few black Rhinestones.

Now it's your turn to join in on the Embellish Color Trends Challenge fun! Look here for the challenge details, the Design Teams amazing creations and the fabulous prize. To share your projects, either link here (just below) or over at the Embellish blog. Hope to see your challenge creation soon!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great one!

Wplus9 February Release: Group Post

Hello! Today is the Wplus9 Group Post and release day. Be sure to stop by the Wplus9 store to get your hands on the latest sets: Flora & Fauna I, Spring Post & Postmarked.

I'd like to share another card using the gorgeous Flora & Fauna I...
Today's card started with a kraft card base, which I stamped with the Dogwood image in Dark Chocolate ink. Then stamped a Rustic Cream sentiment strip with "Friend" (from Spring Post) and attached.
Stamped the butterflies onto both the card base and Rustic Cream cardstock. The butterflies on the Rustic Cream cardstock I colored (in purple and yellow) with Copic markers, cut out and attached over the butterflies on the card base.
For added dimension, the largest butterfly was stamped twice, cut out and layered.

The other girls of the Wplus9 Design Team have even more to share with you today. Stop by and check them out...

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed! Have a great day!

Wplus9 February Release: Day 4

Hello, it's me again! I'm back with a sneak peek at two new sets from this months Wplus9 release. Spring Post & Postmarked...be sure to check out the details here. To start, I stamped a Fine Linen card base with a couple of the postage stamp images (from Spring Post) in Fresh Snow ink and then rounded the bottom corner.
It was super easy to perfectly align and stamp these gorgeous images. Love the way it turned out!
Attached and trimmed a white Mat Stack #5 to the card base. Stamped a single postage stamp image, sentiment and a post mark onto white card stock and cut out. Then attached it over Fine Linen ribbon strips and embellished with a Sweet Blush button.

Now, be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the Wplus9 Design Team has to inspire you with today:

Wplus9 Feburary Release: Flora & Fauna I

Welcome, to day 1 of Wplus9's February Release! Today we bring you Flora & Fauna I, which...
  • is a 6X8 clear photopolymer stamp set
  • contains 7 stamps; 4 large focal images and 3 accent images
  • will be available for purchase February 1st for just $19

Every time I use this set, I think of my Mom. Dogwood and Cardinals are her favorite! How perfect is it that these two are featured together in one set. So, this ones for you Mom... For today's card, I've used only one of the focal images... the Cardinal. The Cardinal comes perched on a dogwood branch, which I stamped onto a die cut Rustic Cream frame. Colored with Copics and attached to a kraft card base. It may be a little hard to tell in the photo, but I stamped a row of woodgrain (using an image from Woodgrain Silhouettes) onto the card base before attaching the cardinal.

Next, I stamped the Cardinal image two more times, colored the flowers and then cut them out. Attached the flowers over and around the main image, to frame it. Finished it off with a sentiment and Fine Linen silk ribbon.

Just Saying Hello

Hello! Hope you had a great weekend. Just popping in to say hello, and to share a little Hero Arts goodness with you today... Today's card started with Clouds DesingBlock stamped, in Spring Rain, onto a white cardstock block. I then punched a circle and stamped a portion of a sentiment (from Truly Appreciated) in True Black. Before attaching the cloud block, I carefully stamped the Bird in Cage and the rest of the sentiment, in Pure Poppy, onto a white card base.
Finished it off with a Pure Poppy button and baker's twine.
Thanks for visiting!

All Eyes On...Envelopes

It's time for another Wplus9 All Eyes On, and our focus this time around is on envelopes. Today I though I would focus on coordinating an envelope with a super simple and mail friendly card. I don't think it gets any flatter than a single layer card...An easy way to create such a card is to layer stamp images. Before I begin stamping, I love to play around and layout my stamps to help me figure out just the right arrangement. Check out this blog post for a better idea of what I am talking about. For today's project I've used both Ever After and Woodgrain Silhouettes.
On the front of the envelope, I kept the stamping to a minimum and made sure to leave enough room for the addresses.
I also coordinated the back flap of the envelope by using the same stamp layout as on the front.

Now check out what the rest of the Wplus9 Design Team has for you today:

I hope you will join us and share your envelope idea with us too! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
