Trendy Tree Tops Day Five

Hello you guys! I'm back today with a final peek at my new set... Trendy Tree Tops before it's available for purchase tomorrow through Papertrey Ink. Today I wanted to focus on embellishing these little trendy trees, so let me get right to it...
First up, rhinestones! Using the grass image from Hanging Out, I stamped a row at the bottom of the Rustic Cream card front (masking off a 1/2" on both sides) in Simply Chartreuse. Then a Trendy Tree Tops trunk in Dark Chocolate.Topped the tree trunk off with a Berry Sorbet tree top and then added a bit of sparkle using clear rhinestones. Finished the card off with a Trendy Tree Tops sentiment.Last but not lease, I added a few blooms to this sweet little sympathy card. I attached an embossed border along the base, stamped the tree trunk in Dark Chocolate, the bird tree top in Spring Moss and the leaves in Simply Chartreuse. Then livened things up a bit with a few tiny Orange Zest flowers (from Hanging Out). Stamped a heartfelt sentiment (from Beautiful Butterflies), wrapped with a ribbon bow and finished the card off with a die cut Hawaiian Shores bird.

Well, that concludes day five of the countdown. I truly hope that you have enjoyed and were inspired by all that I have shared the past few days. Just remember... this set is available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th, for $15. In the mean time, if you do happen to add this set to your collection... Introducing Beautiful Butterflies

So, have you been enjoying the Papertrey Ink anniversary festivities this week?!

I'm back this month with a new stamp set to start off the new Papertrey Ink year, I'm happy to introduce to you... Beautiful Butterflies. Beautiful Butterflies is a modern take on the classic butterfly silhouette. It features 5 different butterflies shapes, 4 of these shapes feature a small, medium and large coordinating option for a total of 13 butterflies. 7 thoughtful sentiments pack this stamp set to the brim, and the font combination... totally swoon-worthy! To top it all off... a set of 4 dies coordinate beautifully with the largest butterflies in the set. Beautiful Butterflies stamp set will be sold for $24, beginning February 15th at Papertrey Ink.

Next up, a couple samples!...It all began with this lovely color combo... Kraft, Fine Linen, Smokey Shadow and Aqua Mist. You can find my inspiration piece on Pinterest here. Using this new inspired color combo, I stamped the medium sized butterflies onto a die cut Wine Bottle Tag. Here's a tip: To lighten up the Smokey Shadow ink, I stamped first onto a scrap piece of cardstock then onto my project.
Stamped the sentiment and attached the tag to a kraft card base. Finished the card of with a wrapping of Smokey Shadow satin ribbon.Next up, the large butterflies. Keeping with the color combo from above, I stamped them in Fine Line, Kraft and Aqua Mist onto a Rustic White cardstock block. Stamped the sentiment, wrapped the panel with twine and attached to a kraft card base.Finished the card off with a Kraft colored button and ribbon tab.

That's it from me today, but I've still got a lot more to share! So, I hope you'll join me for the remainder of the countdown!

CARDS Magazine Publication

So, it's been a while since I last share any of my published projects with you. I thought it was about time I started up again. I figured I would start with a few of my favorite older creations from previous magazine publications. So, in case you missed it, here is a sympathy card from the March 2011 CARDS issue....This card features two of my all time Hero Arts stamp favorites... the Lace Background and the Dogwood. I started by stamping the Lace Background in Versamark ink onto a kraft card base. Here's A Tip: The card base was trimmed to 3 3/4" wide, to accommodate the flower extending over the edge.I then stamped the card base with the Dogwood image and sentiment in True Black. Here's A Tip: When working with wood mounted rubber stamps (such as the two used on today's card) use a stamp positioning tool, such as a Stamp-a-ma-jig, for perfect placement. Stamped the Dogwood a second time onto Rustic White cardstock, trimmed and attached. Here's A Tip: For added detail, I attached the flowers, at the centers, with a flat Glue Dot and the petals with dimensional adhesive. Then finished the card off with Fine Linen ribbon and True Black buttons.

That's all I've got for you today, I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

With Deepest Sympathy

Hello my friends! Hope you all are having a wonderful day! It's been a while since I last made a sympathy card, but I do have a simple one to share with you today... Using the Giga Guidelines 1 Impression Plate, I was able to add a subtle but very elegant textured pattern to the white cardstock block. This helped to break up the stark whiteness of the card and to let the sentiment circle really stand out.
The sentiment circle was stamped using a sentiment and border image from Asian Fusion, using Dark Chocolate and Melon Berry inks. Layered it over a strip of Melon Berry Twill and embellished the border with brown rhinestones.
If you don't have the need for a sympathy card, simply changing the sentiment and this card would work perfectly as a wedding card.

So glad you stopped by today!
