Lawn Fawn's Winter Bunny

Here's a sneak peek at Lawn Fawn's Winter Bunny (Available Oct 7th)!... Started by cutting a circle from white cardstock, impressed it with PTI's Sunshine Impression Plate and attached it to a kraft card base. Stamped banners (from Bannerific) and a sentiment (from Bows & Holly) in True Black onto Spring Moss cardstock, cut out and then adhered to the card base with dimensional adhesive.
Stamped the bunny onto white, kraft & Hibiscus Burst cardstock. Cut the sled from kraft, the bunny from white and the scarf from Hibiscus Burst. Stamped the bunny a second time onto the white circle and then paper pieced. Finished it off with a little glitter glue on the scarf.

Lawn Fawn's Frosties

Here's a sneak peek of Lawn Fawn's Frosties (available Oct 7th)!... Stamped the different snowflake image and a sentiment across the kraft card front in True Black. Then colored each one in with a white and turquoise colored pencil. I really love the look of colored pencils on kraft cardstock!
Die cut a frame from white cardstock, using Mat Stack #4 & Fillable Frames #7 dies. Ran it through my xyron sticker maker and gave it a good coating of chunky glitter. Tied it off with a white satin bow and attached to the card base with dimensional adhesive.

Lawn Fawn's Happy Hanukkah

Here's a sneak peek of Lawn Fawn's Happy Hanukkah (available Oct 7th)! For the card front, I cut various sized strips from Spring Rain & Enchanted Evening cardstock, attached them to a white card base and trimmed the excess.
Here's A Tip: To create a strong focal point, group or layer your stamped images and sentiments together. For example, I stamped the Menorah in a light colored ink, Spring Rain, onto the white cardstock strip. Over that, I layered/stamped the sentiment in a darker colored ink, Enchanted Evening, to help it stand out. Attached the Menorah strip to the card base with dimensional adhesive and finished the card off with a touch of glitter glue.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all had a great weekend!

Lawn Fawn's Bows & Holly

Hi! And welcome to the second day of the Lawn Fawn countdown. As this months Guest Designer, I get to share a sample of the soon to be released (available October 7th) Bows & Holly with you today!...For my card I focused on the sprig of mistletoe. This is actually one image stamped three times to make a bigger bunch of mistletoe. Started by stamping a sprig at the top of a Spring Moss card base, masked it off and then stamped the image two more times. Then colored with a green Copic marker.
Stamped the bow (which comes from the wreath image, also included in the same set) onto Pure Poppy cardstock, cut it out and attached above the mistletoe bunch with dimensional adhesive. Finished it off with a sentiment and some Liquid Pearls for the white mistletoe berries.

Now be sure to stop by the Lawn Fawn blog for some more Bows & Holly sample goodness!

On another note: I am currently having issues with my laptop and am working with our very ancient and super slow desk top computer. Of course, the laptop has all my photos and editing software. So please bear with me as I work through this tough time. It's amazing how lost I feel with out my computer! Lol!

One last note: Jennifer and I will be posting our final HA/PTI Stamp Challenge creations later in the afternoon today. So be sure to come back later and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great one!

Embellish Color Challenge Quirky-Cutesy-Clean Style

Today is the start of a new Embellish Color Challenge! Take a look...The challenge: To use the colors pictured above and a quirky-cutesy-clean style. The fabulous sponsor: Lawn Fawn. Lawn Fawn (brought to you by the adorable Kelly Marie) is such a fun and unique stamp company, perfect for a challenge like this one. I am working with a set I couldn't wait to get my hands on, Bake Me A Cake! Love it, I've got all kinds of ideas for this set floating around in my head, just itching to get out.

Here is what I came up with...A fun Topsy Turvy Birthday Cake! Started with some Melon Berry cardstock then, stamped the first layer at an angle, masked off the top (with a Post It Note) and stamped the next layer at the opposite angle. Continued this process all the way to the top.
Cut the cake out, embossed with the Sunshine Impression Plate and embellished with a few hand cut Vintage Cream flowers. Set the cake atop an Aqua Mist cake stand and attached it to a Vintage Cream cardstock strip. Just below the Vintage Cream strip, I attached half of an Aqua Mist Fillable Frames #4 die cut. Then finished it off with a Melon Berry satin ribbon bow and sentiment.

Now it's your turn to join in the quirky-cutesy-clean fun! Look here for the challenge details, amazing inspiration and a fabulous prize. Hope to see your challenge creations soon!

Thanks for visiting, have a great one!

You're Sew Lovely

Hello all and happy Friday!!!

I must admit... I am a slow card maker. Even though I tend to keep my creations super simple, it is not an easy or a simple process for me. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist and spend a lot of time thinking about the placements and layouts before I'm happy with the end result and permanently attach everything. It drives me a little crazy sometimes. Lol!

Yesterday, I had mentioned how my friend Kim Wilson was coming over to share her Lawn Fawn stamps with me. We hung out for a few hours but, at the end I only completed two cards. One I am sharing today and the other (a single layer card) I will share another day. The Lawn Fawn stamps are so much fun, I could have played for many more hours! The images are just adorable and I love how the sentiments coordinate so perfectly.

The majority of the time was spent on this card... Isn't this dress form, from Sew Lovely, just so cute! I paper pieced the dress using Hibiscus Burst cardstock for the top and white cardstock, stamped with flowers (from the same set) in Hibiscus Burst ink, for the skirt. Embellished the dress with a white silk ribbon bow. Cut slits on either side of the dress, threaded the ribbon through and tied onto a tiny bow.
I am loving this color combo! Using a gradient color scheme has become one of my favorite things to do lately. For this card I used Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz and Kraft. The Sweet Blush panel was stamped with polka dots from Polka Dot Basics II and the Raspberry Fizz strip was stamped again with the flowers from Sew Lovely, both in Versamark ink. Finished it off with a gorgeous sentiment (love, love, love that font!) and True Black buttons.

Hope you all are ready for the weekend! Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the card as much as I have enjoyed these Lawn Fawn stamps!
