Color Cue {12} Challenge

Hello all! It's time for this months Color Cue {12} Challenge. Check it out...Colors I used: Kraft, Lavender Moon, Hawaiian Shores and Rustic White. Here is my take...
Today's card started by combining and stamping images from both Flora & Fauna I & Spring Post to create these unique postage stamps.
Here's an idea of how to quickly stamp your own. I started by stamping the dogwood image and then carefully selecting parts of the image to layer the postage stamp over. Then cut them out.
I then arranged and attached them directly to the kraft card base. Cut a strip of vellum cardstock, stamped with the sentiment (from Spring Post) and embellished with buttons and rustic twine. Here's A Tip: To hide the adhesive, I carefully placed Scor-Tape behind the buttons and then attached the vellum strip onto the card base.

I hope you too will join us in the Color Cue {12} Challenge fun! Look here for this months challenge details.

Color Cue {10} Challenge

Hello, everyone! I'm a day late, but yesterday was the start of the new Color Cue {10} Challenge. This month, each Design Team member has selected their own color combos for you all to choose from. Here is mine... Colors I used: New Leaf, Harvest Gold/Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy & Hawaiian Shores. Here is my take...
My favorite way to use a combo of bright colors is to pop them off of a white base. Starting with a white card base, I stamped the ornaments and sentiment, from Classic Christmas, in black. Then colored with Copic Markers.
For a bit of sparkle and shine, I embellished each ornament with a glue pen and glitter.

I hope you too will join us in the Color Cue {10} Challenge fun! Look here for this months color combo choices and for all the details.

Color Cue {8} Challenge

Hello, everyone! Today is the start of the 8th Color Cue Challenge. Take a look...
Colors I used were: Harvest Gold, Scarlet Jewel, Simply Chartreuse & White. I've got a couple cards to share with you and both use one of the peacock images from Magical Moments. Anyways, here's my take... Stamped the peacock in Scarlet Jewel and a sentiment (from the same set) in True Black into the corner of white cardstock, trimmed and attached to the Harvest Gold cardstock base. Wrapped the top of the card base with Harvest Gold satin ribbon.
Lastly, embellished the feathers with yellow and green rhinestones.

This second card is my favorite of the two. Just something about the simplicity of a few bold colors on a white card base is so pleasing to me...
Thought these colors made a fabulous jewel toned Christmas color combo. Couldn't help but turn them into a simply stunning Christmas card. Stamped the top of a white card base (measuring 3 3/4" X 5 1/2") with a sentiment in Scarlet Jewel and wrapped with Scarlet Jewel satin ribbon.
The peacock was created by stamping the image onto the card base in Simply Chartreuse. Carefully inked up the image a second time in Scarlet Jewel and Lemon Tart and stamped it onto a scrap piece of white cardstock. Punched out the body and attached it to the card base with dimensional adhesive. Finished it off with clear rhinestones.

I hope you too will join us in the Color Cue {8} Challenge fun! Look for the challenge details here.

Color Cue {7} Challenge

Hello, everyone! Today is the start of the 7th Color Cue challenge and the color combo chosen for this challenge happens to be one of my current faves! Take a look... Colors I used were: Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold/Lemon Tart, Pure Poppy and Cream. Here's my take...
Started by covering the 5 1/2" X 3 3/4" card base with patter paper from the Papertrey Ink Library Ledger collection.
Then die cut a Spiral Notebook Sheet from Vintage Cream cardstock, turned it upside down and stamped with a sentiment in pure poppy, bees in Lemon Tart & trails in Aqua Mist. Impressed a Harvest Gold strip with Canvas & Linen impression plate and attached just above the edge of the notebook sheet. Finished the card off with a Harvest Gold button and Pure Poppy baker's twine.

I hope you too will join us in the Color Cue {7} Challenge fun! Look for the challenge details here.

Color Cue {6} Challenge

*** This is my second post for today. Please scroll down to view the first.***

Hello, all! It's time for another Color Cue Challenge, and what a gorgeous color combo we have to play with this time around!...
Colors are White/Cream, Berry, Kraft & Brown. Here is my take...
Started by stamping the medallion images (from Mehndi Medallions) in Berry Sorbet onto a white cardstock strip. Next, layered a sentiment stamped in Dark Chocolate.
Embellished the medallion strip with a few ribbon tab/strips and buttons in Berry Sorbet & Dark Chocolate. The ribbon tabs were created by folding one end of a strip of ribbon, trimming the other end and then attaching behind the cardstock. Before attaching the medallion strip to the kraft card base, I stamped the card base with the border image twice, above and below.

I hope you too will play along with us in this fun challenge! You can find all the details here.

Now, be sure to stop by and see the inspiring projects that the rest of the Wplus9 design team has created for you...

Really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with! Thanks for stopping by!

Color Cue {5} Challenge

Hello all! It's time for another Color Cue Challenge and what a super trendy combo of colors we have to work with this time around...
Here is my challenge card...
Started off by creating a colorful strip of Simply Chartreuse, Orange Zest & Hawaiian Shores cardstock pieces. Simply attached the cardstock pieces to a cardstock strip then trimmed to the width of the card front. Next, heat embossed it with two of the heart background strips, from Background Builders: Hearts, with clear embossing powder. Then attached the strip to the white card base.
Then created the sentiment focal point, using a Fillable Frames #4 die cut. Stamped it with flower stems (in Spring Moss) and a sentiment (in Dark Chocolate), both are from The Birds & The Bees. Finished it off with a small Simply Chartreuse cardstock strip and Hawaiian Shores & Orange Zest buttons. So happy with the way this turned out, it really helps to have wonderful colors to work with!
I hope you too will play along with us in this fun color challenge. You can find all the details here. Now, be sure to stop by and check out the inspiring projects that the rest of the Wplus9 design team has come up with!...

Color Cue {3} Challenge

Hello all, time for another Color Cue Challenge brought to you by Wplus9! These colors are just gorgeous together, perfect for Spring. But boy, what a challenge I found them to be. The matching colors I chose to work with were: PTI Stamper Select White, Melon Berry, Spring Rain & Summer Sunrise. Here is what I came up with...
Using a gorgeous leaf image from one of the newest sets, Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions, stamped it in Versamark onto a Melon Berry card base. At first glance I thought these leaves were very pretty, but once I put them to work and stamped them onto paper, I was in aw. These leaves are gorgeous!
Stamped the sentiment (from Woodgrain Silhouettes) and a sweet little bird (from Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions) onto a punched white circle. I didn't want to cover the stamped leaves too much, so I layered the circle over a Melon Berry ribbon strip and buttons.

Be sure to stop by Dawn's blog for all the details and to see the wonderful creations that she and the other Design Team members created. Hope you too will give these colors a try and I can't wait to see what you create.

Don't forget, Dawn is looking for another Wplus9 Design Team member. You can find all the details here.

Thanks for taking the time to visit me today! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Color Cue {2} Challenge

Come and play along with us over at Wplus9 Design Studio, in the latest Color Cue {2} Challenge. Here is what I came up with... The colors I used were PTI's: Stamper's Select White, Ocean Tides, Lemon Tart & Raspberry Fizz. The Ocean Tides panel was stamped, in white with a branch & hearts from the Love Birds set. Then the tree's were touched up with a little glitter glue.
The birds were stamped in Lemon Tart, cut out and mounted above the branch together. Used the single heart image to create the birds wings and the heart grouping for the Raspberry Fizz hearts.

Stop by Dawn blog for the challenge details and to see what she created. Be sure to check out Elise Durenberger and Savitri Wilder creations as well. Thanks for visiting me today, hope it's a good one!
