Vintage Linens

Hello and welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink July countdown!
Hooray!!!  For today's group post we are paying homage to all of the beautiful vintage linens and hankies from an era past.  Vintage Linens is a gorgeous set!  It's easy to work with too! These bold and beautiful flowers and pattern papers make creating an elegant card a cinch. I hope you'll enjoy what I have for you today.

After that, I'll have for you a peek at the next design in my Stamping Simply line up... So Striking!  Hang in there until the end, you won't want to miss it.

Take a look...
Up first, my inspiration piece found here.  I usually prefer to not use another card as a starting point, but these just spoke to me.  Watercolor floral done cleanly and simply.
This is my super simple take.  I used a single sheet from the Vintage Linens paper collection as the card front.
The white on white layers (card on top of envelope) in the inspiration piece inspired my sentiment treatment.
A crisp, clean, and white one layer card are hands down my favorite cards to make. They can be challenging, but with such great inspiration the hardest part for me was the two tone inking technique used. This card is a bit more involved then my first one.
A great color combo of pure poppy, hibiscus burst, new leaf, ripe avocado, and summer sunrise was drawn from the inspiration piece too.
And now this is where I move on to one more sample, featuring So Striking.  I pulled out a pattern paper sheet from the So Striking paper pad and die cut a small cloud opening.
I rocked and rolled the sun into summer sunrise and orange zest inks. Then layered it among the clouds and a sentiment.

Well, that concludes today's look at the new Vintage Linens. Just remember... all that you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning July 15th.  More details on these products can be found at the Papertrey Ink blog.

Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...
Thanks so much for stopping by!
