Welcome to the final day of the Papertrey Ink May countdown and the second design team group post day. Today's group post is all about the fun new floral set Ruby Rose. These gorgeous and large florals are such fun to stamp and layer! I love the tiny details featured in each piece. Details like these take a simple card and give it a little something extra. Check it out for yourself...
First things first... the inspiration piece, found here.
This first card uses the flowers as a focal point, I arranged and trimmed some of the edges to create a floral corner. For balance, I stamped one of the sentiments into the opposite corner.
The colors used were inspired by the cake photo above... limeade ice, lavender moon, plum pudding, winter wisteria and melon berry.
My next card uses elements from this set as background builders. Using the same colors from the card above, I stamped an ombre colored pattern to mimic the look of the inspiration cake.
Then finished the card off with a Side By Side Sentiment and a ribbon bow (stapled into place using my Tiny Attacher).Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember... Ruby Rose, the coordinating die collection and Side By Side Sentiment will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning May 15th.

ReplyDeleteWow, so awesome how you went "outside the box" by putting your flowers inside the box! I love how you keep finding new ways to surprise me.
ReplyDeleteThe way you framed with first card without an actual frame is brilliant. You really know how to manipulate the eye.
