Square Prints Day Three

Hi there! Just popping in quickly for day three of the Papertrey Ink countdown to share a couple more samples using the latest additions to my Stamping Simply lineup... Square Prints, its coordinating die (which happens to cut 6 perfectly sized squares at once, what a dream!) and Think Big Favorites #24 (featured on the last card).

So, let me get right to it...

First up, the images in Square Prints are prefect for creating patterned square medallions!  Using a single square image and the coordinating die I was able to stamp and layer three large focal squares.
Then topped each square with a die cut piece of American Crafts POW gold glitter paper and finished with a sentiment oval (from the soon to be released Everyday Photo Finishers).  Inks used... melon berry and Hero Arts wet cement.
My next card features a cool corner embellishment.
I simply stamped die cut square with a single image in melon berry, Hero Arts wet cement and gold inks.  Then arranged and attached each one with dimensional adhesive.  The sentiment is from the soon to be available Framed Out #12.
Here's Square Prints and Think Big Favorites #24 in action!
Simply stamped two rows of patterned squares in a color combo of summer sunrise and melon berry.  Here's How: I lightly trace a straight line (using a pencil) and use it as a guide for stamping the rows.  Then erased when done. Finished the card off with a random placing of gray rhinestones.

Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember... this stamp sets will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning January 15th. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think so far, so please feel free to share!

Square Prints Day Two

Hey there! Thanks for joining me for day two of the Papertrey Ink January countdown. I'm back today to bring you more of my new set... Square Prints.  From the looks of it, it sounds as if some of you are as excited about these set as I am!

Now onto today's creation...

I bring you... a one layer masculine card.  The border along the two edges was stamped using two images from Square Prints.  These two images (along with an additional third image) were styled to fit together perfectly.  By simple rotating the corner pieces you could stamp borders of any color or fun flowing patterns.
The Papertrey Ink colors I used are enchanted evening, aqua mist, summer sunrise and limeade ice.  After stamping the border I layered a couple images from the new (and soon to be available) Destination stamp set, in enchanted evening.  Then finished the card off with a sentiment from Embroidered Blooms.

Well, that concludes my second look at Square Prints. Just remember... this stamp sets will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning January 15th. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think so far, so please feel free to share!

Now, be sure to visit Nichole Heady and Heather Nichols for peeks at Destination and World Map.  Also, Dawn McVey and Melissa Bickford have peeks to share with you of their newest sets for the month.

Introducing Square Print

If your counting down like I am... CHA is only a couple short days away!  If your unable to attend I hope you'll join me via Instagram (mkbelles) as I try my best to document the event with photos.  Tomorrow is the day I hit the road and make my way there!

Currently, there's another countdown going down these next few days...  I'm back this month with my newest stamp set for the January Papertrey Ink release, I'm happy to introduce to you... Square Prints.  This geometric set of patterned squares can be used in so many ways, the possibilities are truly limitless! You can stamp a series of squares, each facing in different directions, to create unique overall patterns. You can mix several patterns together or just use one or two alone.  This set features 15 unique squares.  The coordinating die makes it easy to cut out six square as once.  Square Prints will be sold for $15, beginning January 15th at Papertrey Ink.

I've got a sample to share with you today, so let me get started...
I love a simple yet random layout!  Here's A Tip:  For me, the key to making such a design work is incorporating each color in odd numbers using a triangle formation.  I'm sure you've hear this before, but I tell ya... it really works!
I used two different squares (the solid for the background and the patterned ones for the dimension) and stamped all in a color combo of orange zest, new leaf and aqua mist.  Finished the card off with a few Studio Calico bright gems and a Framed Out #12 sentiment.

That's it from me today, but I've still got a lot more to share! So, I hope you'll join me for the remainder of the countdown!

Now, be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Besty Veldman and Danielle Flanders for new peeks. Also, Heather Nichols, Dawn McVey and Melissa Bickford have peeks to share with you of their newest sets for the month.

CHA and Funky Florals

It's been a crazy house here in my craft room these days!  I've been preparing (in more ways than one) for my trip to CHA.  I've got my outfits and accessories all figured out and have yet to finish all my projects.  I'm anxious to get this show on the road and meet some of you in person!  If your going, let me know!  You'll find me at the Studio Calico booth.

Changing gears on ya...  Papertrey Ink's Funky Florals is one of those sets where as soon as I laid eyes on it I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.  Those flower centers were just meant to be stamped with a touch of gold.  There is nothing easier than making a big impact on a simple one layer card than stamping a stunning trio of gorgeously shimmery flowers.

Here are the details on this funky Papertrey Ink set...

Funky Florals (a $15 value) will be available for customers as a FREE bonus with qualifying orders placed before 11:30pm EST, January 14th. To qualify for the set, the order total needs to equal $100 or more before shipping and without Rewards Points discounts. Funky Florals is a limited edition set that will never be available for purchase, so be sure to get yours while they are available during this special holiday promotional period!

Here's a little sample for you...
This trio was stamped in a Papertrey Ink color combo of melon berry, berry sorbet and sweet blush.  I'm quite a fan of these colors together.

Stamped the flower centers using a gold ink and then finished the card off with a sentiment, also from the Funky Florals stamp set.

I just love this set and I know you will too!  Get yours here.

Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...

All Booked Up

Hey everyone! Thanks for joining me today, for the January Papertrey Ink Senior DT challenge. This time around we are bringing back All Booked Up! It's been fun pulling out this unique and lovely set. Some of my favorite types of images to work with are circular ones, because they are so versatile and there are so many ways to use them. I just love that this set has four of them to work with!  For today's card and gift ensemble I've utilized one of these gorgeous circles as the focus.

Have a look!...
A coordinating card and bookmark wrap, perfect for a bookworm friend!
First up, the card...  I stamped the flower vase image in black ink onto a rustic white cardstock block.
Then spot colored just one of the circle images.  Here's A Tip: I began stamping the pattern with the image I knew I wanted to color and then continued the pattern from there.  This ensures a perfect placement.
The packaging began by creating a trio of bookmarks to embellish the gift wrapped books.
The top bookmark was created in the same fashion as the card.  The other two were simply die cut from cardstock and stamped with an All Booked Up sentiment.
Topped each bookmark with a cardstock top.  Here's How: After die cutting from the pattern paper, I die cut again from coordinating cardstock, trimmed off the tops and attached.  Then simply clipped all three to the package, which was wrapped with more coordinating cardstock and some gold glitter twine.

Well, that's it from me today. Now be sure to visit the other Papertrey Ink senior design team girls for more All Booked Up goodness...
Thanks for stopping by today!
