Enjoy The Ride Revisited

Thanks for joining me today for the June Papertrey Ink Senior DT Challenge. This time around we are bringing back Enjoy The Ride!

What a ride back into time!  I loved bringing this set back out again.  It's as timeless and as classic as ever! Great for boys and girls alike, but the tricky masculine card is a cinch to make with this set in hand.  Hope you enjoy the ride through today projects!"

My first card features a single strong focal point using the Enjoy the Ride bug.  I used the watercolor smooshing technique to add color to this car die cut, using the colors enchanted evening and aqua mist.
The watercolored bug was mounted on a piece of pattern paper from the Black & White All Over paper pad, a silver cardstock strip and attached using a staple with some twine tied in too.
My next card was inspired by the second card here.  A very feminine design turned masculine by the use of a different stamp set and colors. Colors used... enchanted evening, terracotta tile and simply chartreuse.
The die cut Sentiment Splits: Curve Vertical panels were stamped repeatedly with the bug image and attached to a soft stone card base.  The bottom panel was covered with a bit of polka dot vellum and the card was embellished with a button and a few metal dots.  The sentiment, also from the Enjoy the Ride stamp set, was tweaked and attached to my acrylic block to fit within the curve.

Well, that's it from me today. Hope you enjoy this month feature! Now be sure to visit the other Papertrey Ink senior design team girls for more Enjoy The Ride goodness...

  1. I'm so glad to see the DT revisit this set. I really like it but always seems to be lost on how to use it. I like how you used just a column of the outline stamp in the different colors. Your other card is simplicity at its best. Both are great ideas. Thanks for the inspiration!
