Christmas Belles

Hello there friends! So, some of you have asked to see my Christmas tree. I have always enjoyed decking my house out for Christmas so I am very excited to share some photos of my decorations with you. But first I wanted to let you know that we did receive the snow fall I was hoping for the other day. When the snow was done falling we had about 8 inches! The usual snow fall for us is about 5-6 in. It was the perfect amount to play in, here is a picture of my son in our fresh snow....
Be prepared, I have a lot of photos to share with you. I don't think I have ever taken this many photos of my decorations before, this will be so much fun to look back on in the future. To start, here is my dinning table...
I've wrapped three Princess House crystal cylinders with my most favorite green, with gold edging, holiday wired ribbon. This ribbon looks so much better in real life, it kind of has a gold shimmer to it. It looks amazing on a gift wrapped with kraft paper. :) The cylinders are sitting on a gold charger and one of these days I will put some votive candles inside each one.

Above the table is this...
Tiny gold jingle bells draped over the chandelier then tied with more ribbon. (Can you tell that I really like ribbon!).

A garland above our entertainment center...

Yep, more of that same ribbon that was used on the chandelier.

Here is the Nativity scene on the coffee table...
This was given to me by my mother in law. I love it! It's so simple, but so representative of the true reason I celebrate Christmas. It's supposed to hold a tea light candle, but I am all out as of now. It sits on another gold charger with little ornaments randomly placed around it.

Now onto the tree...
This tree is an assortment of red, gold and green decorations, that I have collected over the 8 and half years that I have been married to my hubby. The bottom of the tree is a little bare, we have a dog that has a very strong tail wag and a son that loves to help redecorate. So kid friendly and non fragile ornaments hang from the bottom.

Here is the star tree topper, stars are the main theme of my tree. Oh and of course, more ribbon (he, he!)...
Here are some shots of my favorite ornaments...

In the photo below is a jingle bell candy cane...
It's a little hard to see, but somewhere in the photo below is a gold wired carolling angle...

So there you have it, I am finally ready for Christmas (all except for the gift shopping part)! I do hope you enjoyed, I know I've enjoyed sharing. Thanks for stopping in and have a blessed day.

  1. OMG Maile! I LOVE your decorations! My favorite is your star tree topper. I just have a bow, but I've been looking for beautiful star like yours! This is only my first Christmas using decorations that I've collected (as opposed to hubby's bachelorhood collection...haha!), so I have a long while to build by stash. :-) Thanks for sharing - it's been SUCH an inspiration! :-) Merry Christmas!

Oh! Your son looks JUST like you girly! SO cute!!!

  2. Maile, your decorations are gorgeous! I am a sucker for ribbon too, so I totally get what you mean... There are so many pretty Christmas ribbons out there, I find it so hard each year trying to choose a colour theme, and sticking to it! Love the tree too, isn't it so special building upon your collection over the years to a point where you have a tree full of special memories. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Wow! What gorgeous decorations :) I am enjoying the pix as we haven't decorated yet. I have to get through the Christmas concerts and gingerbread houses at work and then think about the house :) We have our lights up outside though...I love the lights and how everything sparkles at Christmas :) Thanks for sharing!!

  6. Hey girl!! My word!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVEEEE your beautiful decorations and your style (of course!!), you have things just how I want to be able to do things in my home. I love the green color of your walls and your black clock with your black chandelier in your dining room (so my style!). Your house looks so beautiful, clean and cozy for Christmas! Maybe I should just come there to spend Christmas with you! Haha!! I LOVE your ornaments on your tree, mine seem to be less this year, some have gotten broken. Mine is half decorated too, because of Samuel "undecorating" it! ha! Isaiah's coat is so cute, of course he is cute too! Man, you guys got a lot of snow for California, is that normal? We haven't gotten any right where live. Only up in the mountains (where we use to live have gotten snow). We got our tree last Sunday and there was some snow and ice up there, pretty for getting a tree! Sorry I haven't been around much to take time to comment on your stuff you've been posting. You've been making some pretty stuff girl! Miss you! I've been trying to push myself to get some Christmas gets done I've been working on for my mother-in-law and others.
Sorry, to kind of talk your ear off! I guess I could have just written you an email. I really enjoyed looking at you pictures, thanks for sharing them!
