Watercolor Wonder

Hey there! Thanks for joining me for day 3 of the Papertrey Ink February sneaks. I'm back today to share with you more of yet another new set of mine...  Watercolor Wonder.  A very unique set that will allow you to add trendy "brushstrokes" of color to your paper crafting projects.  This set is packed full with 8 different designs.  Filling this set with so many useful images didn't leave any room for sentiments, but no worries... this set pairs perfectly with any style of phrases you already have on hand.  At a cost of only $15, this set will be available for purchase beginning February 15th at Papertrey Ink.

Now onto today's creations...
An embossed sentiment allowed me to cleanly stamp the brushstrokes directly over it.  The embossing resisted the ink and let the "Hello There" become the focus.  This sentiment and all others below are from my other new set Mini Blooms (more on it tomorrow).
This faux watercolored combo consists of sweet blush, harvest gold, Hero Arts soft cantaloupe and Hero Arts tide pool inks.  All stamped over white embossing powder.  Then finished the card off with a few enamel dots.
My next card uses the two longest images in the Watercolor Wonder set, one more of a wider stroke and the other thin, to stamp the look of gradient brushstrokes.  I used a soft and sweet color combo of berry sorbet, melon berry and sweet blush.
Then finished the card off with a stunning strip of heat embossed gold.  So pretty!
For this final card I wanted to focus on more of a faux acrylic paint look, by heat embossing in color.  I've layered both stamped and heat embossed strokes here.
I just love how the layers look so different when done this way, how the lighter colors stand out so well over the darker ones.  What do you think?  Have I achieved an acrylic type look?  Also, did you notice?!  These colored embossing powders are ones that Papertrey Ink will soon be carrying in the store.  Same goes for that beautiful flower.  Find more info on these new items here.

Well, that concludes today's look at Watercolor Wonder. Just remember... this stamp sets will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning February 15th. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think, so please feel free to share!

Irresistibly Ikat

Hey there! Thanks for joining me for yet another day of the Papertrey Ink February anniversary countdown. I'm back today to share with you more of my new set... Irresistibly Ikat. From the looks of it, it sounds as if some of you are as excited about this set as I am!  Let me give you a little info...  The trendy patterns found within the pages of all fashion & home decor magazines can now be applied to paper with this new set of designs.  Irresistibly Ikat includes 10 design images and 4 sentiments.  Mix & match these different shapes to build and create stunning patterns of your own design.  At a cost of only $15, this set will be available for purchase beginning February 15th at Papertrey Ink.

Now onto today's creations...
I thought it fitting to use a card trio as a perfect way to share with you a few different way to utilize some of the images in the Irresistibly Ikat stamp set.  All in a lovely color combo of aqua mist, melon berry and smokey shadow.
Chevron style images are included in a large and small format.  They look great stamped alone or nested one into the other, like so.
Also included are an assortment of sentiments, assembled using a very pretty selections of fonts, I must say.  Then again, I may be a just a little partial.  :)
The same images from the card above were used here, just turned onto its side and stamped along a rustic white 1 1/4" wide cardstock strip.
The two smaller chevrons were inked in melon berry to help highlight the greeting.  Each card has been simply embellished with a die cut edge (more info on that particular die here) and a sequin, both tucked carefully under the stamped strip.
Last but not least, the ikat dot.  Love these!  This are quickly becoming my new polka dot essential.
The ikat polka dot strip stamp is made up of four of these fun dots.  I carefully inked up just three, in melon berry, and stamped.  Then finished the strip off with rows of aqua mist ikat dots and a lovely sentiment.

Well, that concludes today's look at Irresistibly Ikat. Just remember... this stamp sets will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning February 15th. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think, so please feel free to share!

Introducing Irresistably Ikat, Watercolor Wonder and Mini Blooms

I'm back this month with my newest additions to my Stamping Simply line up for the February Papertrey Ink release.  I couldn't be more thrilled to introduce to you my three new sets... Irresistibly Ikat, Watercolor Wonder and Mini Blooms.  Today I'll be sharing a brief look at all three sets and in the following days I'll go into a bit more detail about each.  In the meantime, keep in mind that each of these sets will be available for purchase beginning February 15th at Papertrey Ink.

So let me get started...
First up, Irresistibly Ikat.  Ikat patterns can be found in all the latest fashion and decor trends.  I'm happy to bring this popular pattern into stamp form!  This card features the largest focal image from this pretty patterned set.
I stamped this ikat medallion in a color combo of melon berry and sweet blush onto a white card base.  Then finished the card off with a sentiment (also included in Irresistably Ikat).  I must admit... I am a huge fan of this font combo, it pairs perfectly with the ikat.
Second, Watercolor Wonder.  Here's a fun set that allows you to recreate the look of artistic paint strokes, without out the mess of getting out a brush and paints.
I built a hand stamped pattern onto the white card base using a few images from Watercolor Wonder in a color combo of raspberry fizz, sweet blush and melon berry.  Fished the card of with a simple sentiment panel.  Stamped the panel with a sentiment from Mini Blooms (also shown below), scored a few lines and embellished with Studio Calico gems.
Last but not least, Mini Blooms.  A new floral set that is trendy, yet illustrated in such a way that it will stand the test of time.  For this card I've paired it with my free printabla image, found here.
The card base is covered with a sheet of soft stone pattern paper.  Over that is layered a cardstock panel, stamped with a pre-assembled floral cluster (inked in sweet blush and melon berry) and then punched using a 2" circle punch.  Over the hole is layered some American Crafts glitter tape (trimmed it into a trio of notched pieces, such a fun look!) and the printable ombre circle.

That's it from me today, but I've got a lot more to share in the coming days. So, I hope you'll join me for the remainder of the countdown!

Each set will be available for purchase beginning February 15th at Papertrey Ink.  Now, be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Besty Veldman and Erin Lincoln for new peeks. Also, Heather Nichols, Dawn McVey, Melissa Bickford & Lizzie Joneshave peeks to share with you of their newest sets for the month.
