Welcome to the final day of the Papertrey Ink March Countdown and the second design team group post day. Today's group post is all about showcasing the new Birthday Style, To You From Me along with the Get a Handle On It die collection. I've already been showcasing Birthday Style over the last few days, but for today I as well as the design team have a bunch more to share with you using these new sets!
It's celebration time! I've got a birthday party ensemble to share with you today that's perfect for such an occasion. Let me show you what I'm talking about...
Here's a fun ensemble themed around a color combo of mint/aqua, navy and orange.
Let me begin with the festive invitation/birthday card. Here's a Tip: As a guide, before stamping the streamer images across the top, I lightly drew a pencil line to mark the placement of the pattern paper strip.
After stamping I could position the pattern paper strip with ease and embellish with a couple coordinating Studio Calico gems. Then finished the card off with a Sentiment Signs sentiment.
As a parting party gift, here's a happy party favor created from a medium sized glassine bag.
I began by die cutting the notched border strip (included in the Get a Handle On It die collection) from pattern paper and then drew by hand a curly balloon string. The sentiment strip was stamped with an fancy border (from the To You From Me stamp set) and a "Celebrate" (from the Bountiful Banners stamp set) and then attached to the die cut strip.
Once the notched border strip was fully embellished I used it to seal the glassine bag closed. Here's How: this was done simply by scoring, folding and attaching up and over the top of the folded glassine bag, using large glue dots.
And then finally... the thank you note.
Featuring a simple and easy to duplicate design. Here's How: After trimming a cardstock block to measure 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" I inked the edges by rubbing them across the top of an ink pad.
Using the same ink pad, I stamped a "Thank You" (from the Bountiful Banners stamp set) and a bow (from the Birthday Style stamp set). Then finished the card off with a tiny rhinestone.Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember... Birthday Style, To You From Me along with the Get a Handle On It die collection will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning March 15th.

ReplyDeleteNice cards and party favor bag! Love the sentiment on the b.d. card and the balloon on the tag w/the sentiment over it looks great. Simply sweet t.y. notes. I often use white on white, inking the edges of the top panel for definition. I've never inked them as thick/bold as you have. I love the look and will give it a try. TFS :)
