Introducing the Wine Bottle Tag Die

Today is day one of the Papertrey Ink October countdown. Even though I do not have any new stamp sets to share with you, I do have a couple dies coming out this month that I'd love to share with you. Today I bring you the Wine Bottle Tag Die...This Wine Bottle Tag Die measures 2" x 7" and will be available for purchase beginning October 15th (at Papertrey Ink). It's perfect for accessorizing any bottle to create the perfect gift just in time for the holidays and festive gatherings.By using the Wine Bottle Tag I was able to package and present a little something for a gracious hostess. I started by die cutting a tag from Rustic Cream and Spring Moss cardstock. I trimmed off the bottom of the Spring Moss tag and attached it to the bottom of the Rustic Cream tag.Stamped a Rustic Cream cardstock strip with flowers from the Iconic Images (sorry, this set is not available for purchase but a few images from Garden Variety can be used instead) in Spring Moss, Berry Sorbet and Summer Sunrise. Stamped a sentiment from Gracious Vases, attached with dimensional adhesive and wrapped with white silk ribbon.

Well, that all I've got for today. I truly hope that you've enjoyed! I'd love to know what you think, so please share!

Now, be sure to visit Nichole Heady and Besty Veldman for a peek at Shape Up Snowman Accessories and Tremendous Treats: Christmas. Also, Dawn McVey, Heather Nichols, Tiffany Pastor, Beth Silaika & Melissa Bickford have peeks to share with you of their newest sets for the month.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. This is GREAT, Maile!! I love tools that help simplify life, and the more I can use my paper crafting tools to make gift-y items, the better. It's little details like this that are SO wonderful to have! (I just wish I could get this in time for my husband's 40th birthday party which is on the 22nd...I'd love to fancy up the wine bottles at the party with 40th birthday themed fun!)

  4. Very pretty, Maile! Love the idea of a wine bottle tag. That's something you easily bring with you if you have a get-together and it's a perfect idea to make that more personal! Very nice! Love the colors you used!

  5. If you make a small slit at the top of the tag, you could probably slip it over a door knob for a "Do Not Disturb" or "Keep Out" teen room, or a "Baby Sleeping",or a "Doing Homework", or....

  11. What a great idea! You could also use this around water bottles and put a drink packet in them, just die cut two and make a pocket. Perfect for me, who has to mass produce simple gifts. Love this!

  12. Nice tag and new die! Since I don't drink alcoholic beverages or give it as gifts, my mind flooded with ideas on other ways to use this new die cut. My first was that, with a little slit across the top circle, it would make a great door hanger. It could be a note, a coupon, a bookmark, an invite, a ticket, a little work of art ... and if you perforated it at the fold, the recipient could tear it off and keep it. The possibilities are endless. I look forward to seeing other creative ways you'll use it, Maile! :) Wonder what the other dies you created will be?

  13. I love this! I have purchased many gift tags to dress up a bottle of wine to give away, and now I will be able to create my own! This will go at the top of my order this month.

  15. I almost never comment on DT blogs, but this is just too fabulous for me not to stop by with my compliments and congratulations. I will get so much use out of this for gifts of wine. But I also think that this little puppy is going to find so many other uses. Great job with the design. And thanks. I know I'll find out for myself soon enough, but if you could publish the diameter of the circle that is punched out, that would be great. Can start to think how it would work with other things.

  16. Maile, what a beautiful wine bottle tag! Your choice of colors is perfect and love the Spring Moss at the bottom of the tag for contrast. Have made something similar before but required more cutting and punching so the die is awesome!
