Never Ending Love Song

Hello and happy Monday my friends! I have another Wplus9 Design Studio card to share with you today, showcasing the soon to be released Just A Note stamp set. The set includes an elegant yet fun flowing line of music, which I stamped on either side of the circle cut out.
The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed in white onto Pure Poppy cardstosck, then adhered under the circle cut out. Isn't that font just gorgeous, it's a perfect fit to this gorgeous set. If you haven't seen them yet, check out Dawn's creations using this set. Also, stop by Karrianne's and Elise's blogs to see their gorgeous cards using Love Birds. Then stop by Savitri's blog to see all the wonderful projects she has created.

Thanks for popping by today, hope you have a great start to your week!

New Papertrey Goodies & A CPS Sketch

Hello and happy Sunday!

Lots of exciting thing are happening with Papertrey Ink over at Nicole's blog! You must stop by and check out some of the latest news! Today's announcement is, a new line of fabulous felt made from %100 wool and available in Papertrey's exclusive color spectrum! The second announcement of the day is, Papertrey's sponsoring the latest CPS sketch challenge. The latest challenge, over at Nichole's blog, is to use their sketch and to incorporate some felt. Some of us PTI girls are playing along as well... Here is a sneak peek of the soon to be released (this February) Spot Dot stamp set. Stamped the dotted circle in Raspberry Fizz & Aqua Mist onto cardstock squares, cut them in half and adhered halves together. The sentiment (from Shapes by Design) was then stamped in True Black.
The flower was hand cut from the new black felt, stitched a button onto the center and then attached to the stamped circle.

Be sure to stop by the CPS blog , check out the sketch and take a peek at a few of the new sets!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Funky Flowers

Hello friends, hope you are having a great weekend! I got my Wplus9 stamps the other day and was finally able to play. These stamps are great! I am so in love with the images, just you wait! Today I get to showcase Funky Flowers (along with Dawn, the creator of these stamps), which is my favorite set out of the four being released (very soon).Using a couple of the flower top images and some versamark on aqua mist cardstock, I was able to create my own hand stamped pattern paper. I love the results!
The set comes with a small grouping of flowers, which I stamped multiple times along a white cardstock strip, in black. Stamped the flowers again on berry sorbet cardstock and hand cut the flower tops, attached them using dimensional adhesive and embellished with black rhinestones. Finished the card with "Freind".
Be sure to head on over to Dawn's and Karrianne's blog today, they have more Wplus9 goodies to share too! Hope you all have a great Saturday!

Sun Shiny Birthday

Hello and happy Friday my friends! My super duper friend Courtney Baker, has started her very own stamp line, Practicing Creativity. She had asked me to help showcase her newest set called You're Dandy. Here is my sample...Stamped the rays in summer sunrise and versamark, punched an orange circle, trimmed and then mounted it over the rays. The sentiment comes in a single line, but the words are space enough apart that I had no problem inking each individual word and stamping it in three separate parts.
Courtney has everything covered in this set! She has included two different types of clouds, a solid and outline. Just perfect for creating your own hand stamped cloud pattern paper. The solid cloud was stamped in turquoise and the outline was stamped in a darker shade of turquoise then covered in Stickles glitter glue.

This really is a fun, high quality set that will last and always be in style! Here are the details: These stamps are made in the US, from high-quality photopolymer. Available February 6th (at midnight) for $12.99, shipping in the continental US is $3 and they can be purchased here.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Welcome, Little One

Have you seen the latest Stamp It! Cards magazine by Paper Crafts? This issue is loaded with inspiration and talent! This is my first time ever being published in a Paper Crafts magazine, so I was super excited to finally see the issue for the first time at the CHA Super Show. Here is one of my cards that you can find inside...
The focus of the card is this hand stitched birds nest, with button eggs nestled inside. The vine image (from Beyond Basic Borders) was stamped in vintage cream ink onto a dark chocolate cardstock strip. The nest was attached over looped spring rain twill ribbon and then mounted over a vintage cream card base.

So hurry up and purchase your issue of Stamp It! Cards magazine, you'll be glad you did!

Photo Inspiration Challenge

Hello all! My new friend Melissa Phillips has started a new Inspirational Challenge over at her blog. The latest challenge is based off of this fabulous photo...Courtesy of A Creative Mint, isn't this just so inspiring! A Creative Mint is an amazing place full of gorgeousness ready to inspire anyone! So stop by and be prepared to be in awe! Here is my take...
The rows of vintage buttons, rustic cream and kraft colors and twines were what drew my attention the most. I couldn't help but incorporate these details onto my card.
The top was stamped with Background Basics: Diamonds, in pure poppy. Then wrapped with pure poppy grosgrain ribbon and tied with a tiny cream twine bow. Lined my vintage buttons up in rows onto vintage cream cardstock, stamped a sentiment (from Damask Design), rounded the bottom corners and mounted it all onto a kraft card base.

So, stop by Melissa blog for all the details and to see what Dawn McVey, Betsy Veldman, Mish Wooderson & Heather Nichols were inspired to create. Hope you get a chance to play along too. Have a wonderful day!

Garden Tour 2

First off, I would like to send out a big Thank You to all of you for your kind words, warm welcome and support for my new venture, becoming part of the Papertrey Ink design Team. Today I decided to play along with Mish's second Garden Tour challenge. She has included to gorgeous pictures as inspiration, a sketch inspired by one of Betsy Veldman's beautiful cards (featured in the recent Stamp It! magazine) and a color combo of yellow and gray. Here is what I came up with...
The top panel was stamped with a background (from Background Basics: Diamonds) in Lemon Tart, rounded the bottom corners, wrapped with Lemon Tart Satin Ribbon and punch a circle. The flowers (from With Sympathy) were stamped in Ripe Avocado and Lemon Tart then placed behind the circle punched raised panel.
The sentiment (from Everyday Button Bits) was stamped around the circle and then the flowers were embellished with clear rhinestones.

I have got some fun links for you to check out...
