Papertrey Ink January Release Projects

The Papertrey Ink January countdown is about to come to an end and I'm here to share my final projects with you today. But, before I do, let me remind you that everything you've seen peeks of will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink beginning 10 pm EST tonight.

Now, let me get started!...

First up, Heart-2-Heart.  To start, I attached a strip of American Crafts glitter tape to the bottom of the card base.  Loving this stuff!  Such an easy and fast way to add a touch of glitter without the mess.
I then die cut the adorable stems from limeade ice cardstock, staggered them along the bottom edge and trimmed off the access.  Here's A Tip:  Keep in mind the placement of the flowers on top, it looks super cool when they are sort of randomly placed verses all in a uniform row.  it's a bit unexpected that way.  Stamped the flower tops and finished the card off with a few pretty sequins to match.
Framed Out #12 includes my favorite frame image of the entire series!
Using the frame, I stamped a fun angled edge in a color combo of raspberry fizz, ocean tides and smokey shadow.  Then embellished with a thin strip of glitter tape and a dark pink sequin.
Last but not least... Everyday Photo Finishers.  I pulled out my a Fancy Folk Art for this one and stamped the main outline image in melon berry ink.
I then impressed one of the Photo Finishers Stripes Dies across the card front, it's truly a nice and subtle effect.  Then stamped the sentiment within the impression.  Finished the card off with a few peachy sequins.

Well, that's all of them!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Teams fabulous projects as well...

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. You have probably noticed my new found love with the sequin.  Ever since my sequin order came in I've been hooked!  Check them out here, I just love the color selection!

Fancy Folk Art

Welcome to the final day of the Papertrey Ink January Countdown and the second design team group post day. This time around our focus is on Fancy Folk Art. Be sure to check out Nichole Heady's blog for more info on this set.

Each of us have chosen an inspiration piece to be inspired by.  Here's mine...
Yep.  I'll take one of these please!  Found here.
The colors in the inspiration piece are soft and subtle yet stunning and gorgeous, all at the same time.  This was my inspiration for today's ensemble.
I began by stamping the Fancy Folk Art arrangement outline in Hero Arts wet cement ink, a light gray.
Then filled with melon berry, sweet blush and some more HA wet cement inks.  The rug features the slightest pop of navy, I incorporated this into my project via the sentiment.  Here's How: I stamped the sentiment onto the card front (over the flower arrangement) and also onto scrap cardstock; I hand cut the banner portion from the scrap cardsock and attached it to the card with dimensional adhesive.
For the tag, I decided to go for a softer look by omitting the navy.  Don't get me wrong... I love the navy used above. I just wanted to switch things up a bit for the second project.
I stamped both the outline and leaves in HA wet cement and filled the flowers with melon berry and sweet blush inks, all onto a die cut Tag Sale #5.  Finished the card off with a topping of white silk ribbon.  Here's How:  I cut two strands which I threaded through the top hole; then tied together with an additional length of the same ribbon, tied into a bow.

Well, there you have it. I hope you've enjoyed! Just remember that all the new items used today will be available for purchase beginning January 15, at Papertrey Ink.

Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hand of Time and Square Prints Day Four

Hello and welcome to the fourth day of the Papertrey Ink January Countdown and the first Design Team group post. Today's group post is all about showcasing the new Hands of Time.  Not only in card form, but also in scrapbook form!

Be sure to scroll all the way down, I've snuck in a card featuring the new Square Prints too!

I've had so much fun with today challenge and I'm super excited to share my scrapbook page with you!  But first, the card...

I just love, love, love the size of this clock image!  I truly think what this stamping world needs is more super sized images just like this one.  :)  I began this card by stamping it in Hero Arts wet cement ink.  The numbers were stamped in a color combo of melon berry, limeade ice, pure poppy and new leaf.
Stamped the sentiment in a fun formation and finished the card off with a couple stunning die cut clock hands and a Studio Calico gem.

Now, onto my favorite project of the day...
The layout!!!  This page is a special one, it documents our time spent as a family on Christmas day.  Typically our Christmas day is spent entirely with both our immediate families. But this year it was just us three.  Honestly, before the big day, I was wondering if we would enjoy a Christmas all to our selves.  And boy did we?!!!  We did spend a couple hours with extended family in the morning, but the majority of the day was spent with just us.  And it was perfect!
The clock was stamped in the same fashion as above (on the card).
The sentiment was stamped and trimmed into strips.
The Hand of Time stamp set and coordinating dies were combined with a number of embellishments and papers from the Studio Calico Wonderland collection. Here you can see a bit of gray twine, which I recently picked up.  Love it!
And to hide my handwriting, a hidden journaling card.  Please excuse my imperfect stamping job.  I used the super cool Studio Calico roller date stamp here and I have yet to figure out exactly how to use it without making a mess.  However, I did end up using it properly on the layout itself, check it out in the full layout shot a couple photos above.  :)  Love this thing!

And finally a quick look at Square Prints...
Two rows of orange zest and melon berry take center stage on this stunner.
Stamped a few squares to start the two rows.  Then finished each off with coordinating cardstock strips and a few My Minds Eyes enamel dots.  The "hello" is from the Embroidered Blooms stamp set.

Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember... Square Prints, Hands of Time stamp sets and coordinating product will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning January 15th.

Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...
