Sweet Spring

Hi there! So glad you could join me for the first group post of the Papertrey Ink February Anniversary Countdown. Today, the Design Team brings you two new stamp sets... Sweet Spring and Scrambled Eggs (both will be available February15th). These sets are perfect for spring! Are any of you ready for spring yet?! Honestly... I am not (gasp!). I'm still waiting for our first snowfall of the winter season. Instead of the regular winter weather, we've been enjoying our beautiful spring-like temperatures. Which has been very nice but it just feels like something is missing. Usually, by now, we would have had at least a couple good snowfalls.

Anyways, that's not to say I haven't enjoyed working with today's sets, for indeed I have. These sets are full of cuteness and I can't wait to share what I've done with them! So let me get started...
Two spring projects, perfect for the new season and the Easter holiday!
First up, a card with a bounty of adorable blossoms from the Sweet Spring stamp set. I started by stamping the two groupings of flowers (small and large) along the base of a Rustic White card base.
Outlined the blossoms and flowers with Copic Markers, attached a Simply Chartreuse strip to the base and finished it off with a sentiment.
Next up, an Easter basket tag using the Scrambled Eggs stamp set. I began by die cutting a tag from Rustic Cream cardstock. Cut a cardstock strip, stamped with grass in Simply Chartreuse ink (used a flower stem images from the Garden Variety stamp set) and attached to the tag.
Then die cut, stamped and colored the Easter basket. Before attaching the basket with dimensional adhesive, I stamped the flowers directly onto the tag base and colored. Finished the tag off with a sentiment and ribbon.

So there you have it! Be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today. I know I can't wait to see!...

Beautiful Butterflies Day Two

Hello all! It's day 2 of the Papertrey Ink Countdown and from the looks of it, it sounds as if some of you are as excited as I am about Beautiful Butterflies and Beautiful Butterflies Die Collection. Both will be available beginning February 15th at Papertrey Ink.

Well, I'm back today to share a couple more samples with you....
Today I'm bringing the dies into play! I began by die cutting one of the butterflies from the edge of a Rustic White cardstock block. This cardstock block was cut to the same size as the card front.
Stamped the Rustic White card base with two butterflies and a sentiment in Summer Sunrise, Berry Sorbet and Kraft. Stamped the die cut cardstock panel with a Lemon Tart butterfly and then attached over the card base with dimensional adhesive.
After creating the first card I had to put the left over butterfly die cut to use and created this one. I stamped the die cut with an Aqua Mist butterfly and attached it to a Rustic White card base with dimensional adhesive.
Stamped a couple additional butterflies and a sentiment in Enchanted Evening, Sweet Blush and Smokey Shadow ink. Then finished the card off with a wrapping of cream twine.

Well, that concludes my second look at Beautiful Butterflies and Beautiful Butterflies Die Collection. I truly hope that you've enjoyed! I'd love to know what you think, so please share!

Introducing Beautiful Butterflies

So, have you been enjoying the Papertrey Ink anniversary festivities this week?!

I'm back this month with a new stamp set to start off the new Papertrey Ink year, I'm happy to introduce to you... Beautiful Butterflies. Beautiful Butterflies is a modern take on the classic butterfly silhouette. It features 5 different butterflies shapes, 4 of these shapes feature a small, medium and large coordinating option for a total of 13 butterflies. 7 thoughtful sentiments pack this stamp set to the brim, and the font combination... totally swoon-worthy! To top it all off... a set of 4 dies coordinate beautifully with the largest butterflies in the set. Beautiful Butterflies stamp set will be sold for $24, beginning February 15th at Papertrey Ink.

Next up, a couple samples!...It all began with this lovely color combo... Kraft, Fine Linen, Smokey Shadow and Aqua Mist. You can find my inspiration piece on Pinterest here. Using this new inspired color combo, I stamped the medium sized butterflies onto a die cut Wine Bottle Tag. Here's a tip: To lighten up the Smokey Shadow ink, I stamped first onto a scrap piece of cardstock then onto my project.
Stamped the sentiment and attached the tag to a kraft card base. Finished the card of with a wrapping of Smokey Shadow satin ribbon.Next up, the large butterflies. Keeping with the color combo from above, I stamped them in Fine Line, Kraft and Aqua Mist onto a Rustic White cardstock block. Stamped the sentiment, wrapped the panel with twine and attached to a kraft card base.Finished the card off with a Kraft colored button and ribbon tab.

That's it from me today, but I've still got a lot more to share! So, I hope you'll join me for the remainder of the countdown!

Papertrey & Pinterest

Papertrey Ink is now on Pinterest! Like some of you, I am a huge fan of Pinterest and it's my go-to place for inspiration. I love Pinterest not only for its unlimited inspiration but also for its convenience. Ideas and color combos are booked marked in a visible and organized format and are easily accessed via my computer or smart phone. So inspiration is available almost everywhere I go. Papertrey Ink has joined in on the Pinterest craze (you can find them here), and now it's as easy as ever to find your favorite Papertrey Ink projects and inspiration. If you're not familiar with Pinterest be sure to check it out, but I warn you... it's a bit addicting! Stop by Nichole's blog for more info.

So, for today, our focus is on finding and sharing a single inspiration piece (via Pinterest) that has inspired our cards for the day. Here's what I found...Instantly, I fell in love with the colors on this mug! The white base with the pop of color is so me, but for today's project I've chosen to be inspired by the design. My inspiration piece can be found here.In my mind, I translated the design on the mug as a number of die cut banner strips cut down the center. To create, I began by die cutting Double Ended Banners from pattern paper (Basic Grey Sweet Threads Collection). Cut down the center of each and attached to a Rustic White card base at staggering lengths.
Next, I pulled out my Celebration stamp set and stamped the sentiment in Spring Moss and Dark Chocolate. Finished the card off with a stamped flower (from the Hanging Out stamp set), a rhinestone, Raspberry Fizz buttons and a tiny ribbon bow.

Such a great inspiration piece, I'm sure I'll be using it again. Now, be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's Pinterest inspiration...
In case your wondering... you can find me on Pinterest here. Hope you enjoy!
