Papertrey Ink April Release Projects

The Papertrey Ink April Countdown is about to come to an end and I'm here to share my final projects with you today. But, before I do, let me remind you that everything you've seen peeks of will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink beginning 10 pm EST tonight.

Now, let me get started!...First up, Tweet Talk. I stamped this sweet bird in a color of Orange Zest, Berry Sorbet and Melon Berry. The tail was inked with the Rock n Roll stamping technique using the same color combo.I created the color blocked pattern using the In The Meadow Die Collection.Next, Heart-2-Heart. I stamped a fun pattern using the patterned and tiny hearts from the set and the medium sized heart from Trendy Tree Tops. I just love this color combo... Lavender Moon, Harvest Gold, Berry Sorbet and Dried Marigold Ranger Distress Ink. Finished the card off with a sentiment and clear rhinestones. As soon as I laid eyes on this next stamp set, Baby Face, I knew I needed to recreate a fun pattern I had found previously. I've been saving it for inspiration via Pinterest here.Stamped a random pattern (onto a die cut Wine Bottle Tag) using the tiny images and then touched up with a few Copic markers. Finished the card off with a sentiment tag.Last but not least, Tag Sentiments. I began this card by stamping a border of butterflies (from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set), along the card edge, in a color combo of Hawaiian Shores, Spring Rain and New Leaf. Then trimmed the card edge, following the stamped butterflies, to create a super cool effect. Then finished it off with the sentiment tag.

Well, that's all of them!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Teams fabulous projects as well...

Trendy Tree Tops Day Five

Hello you guys! I'm back today with a final peek at my new set... Trendy Tree Tops before it's available for purchase tomorrow through Papertrey Ink. Today I wanted to focus on embellishing these little trendy trees, so let me get right to it...
First up, rhinestones! Using the grass image from Hanging Out, I stamped a row at the bottom of the Rustic Cream card front (masking off a 1/2" on both sides) in Simply Chartreuse. Then a Trendy Tree Tops trunk in Dark Chocolate.Topped the tree trunk off with a Berry Sorbet tree top and then added a bit of sparkle using clear rhinestones. Finished the card off with a Trendy Tree Tops sentiment.Last but not lease, I added a few blooms to this sweet little sympathy card. I attached an embossed border along the base, stamped the tree trunk in Dark Chocolate, the bird tree top in Spring Moss and the leaves in Simply Chartreuse. Then livened things up a bit with a few tiny Orange Zest flowers (from Hanging Out). Stamped a heartfelt sentiment (from Beautiful Butterflies), wrapped with a ribbon bow and finished the card off with a die cut Hawaiian Shores bird.

Well, that concludes day five of the countdown. I truly hope that you have enjoyed and were inspired by all that I have shared the past few days. Just remember... this set is available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th, for $15. In the mean time, if you do happen to add this set to your collection... Garden Variety Continues

Welcome to the final day of the Papertrey Ink Countdown and the second design team group post day. This time around we bring you Garden Variety Additions, designed by Nichole Heady, a perfect compliment to the original Garden Variety. Each of us has picked an inspiration piece to start us off. Here's what I chose to work with...This photo, found here, is what spurred today's two projects.First up, a direct interpretation of this gorgeous frame. I began by stamping a Rustic White card base with a few violets in Smokey Shadow ink.Stamped and embossed a Hawaiian Shores die cut Seed Packet Frame 2, attached a sentiment tag and embellished with black and gray rhinestones. My second project takes inspiration from within the frame, the colors in particular. After die cutting a seed packet from Rustic White cardstock I stamped the Garden Variety II pot, leaves and blossoms in a color combo of Smokey Shadow, Simply Chartreuse and Melon Berry.I then folded and assembled the packet. Here's An Idea: I attached a small ribbon tab to the top edge so that the packet could be easily attached to a package, gift bag or etc. Continuing with the frame idea, I die cut the Seed Packet Frame 2 from Smokey Shadow pattern paper and attached it with dimensional adhesive. Finished it off with a button and ribbon bow.

Well, there you have it. I hope you've enjoyed! Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...

Framed Out #3 and Trendy Tree Tops Day 4

Howdy everyone! Welcome back, so glad you could join me for day 4 of the Papertrey Ink April Countdown. For today my focus is on showcasing a couple of sets... Framed Out #3 by Heather Nichols and my set once again... Trendy Tree Tops. Both of which are sets that I am currently loving! So, let me get started...First up, this little number featuring Framed Out #3 all on its own. The smaller frame makes a statement when stamped across a card front, I just love this pattern. I've stamped it in a color combo of Hawaiian Shores, Melon Berry and Simply Chartreuse.Stamped a sentiment banner and attached it across the card front with dimensional adhesive. Finished the card off with a couple Smokey Shadow buttons. For my next card I've worked with another single image from Framed Out #3, the tiny "HI!" circle.I hand stamped a pattern strip in a color combo of Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry and Summer Sunrise and then layered a Trendy Tree Tops sentiment, in True Black, on top. Attached the stamped panel over cardstock strips of Berry Sorbet and Summer Sunrise.Next up, another combination of Framed Out #3 and Trendy Tree Tops. I began by hand stamping a pattern paper using the plaid circle in a color combo of Melon Berry, Summer Sunrise and Harvest Gold. Then attached the stamped panel to a white card base using dimensional adhesive.I then die cut the heart circle and used the tiny hearts to...Embellish each plaid circle. Then finished the card of with a sentiment, frame and rhinestones.Up next are a couple layered tree cards. This one has a bit of a masculine look with a color combo of Soft Stone, Smokey Shadow, Simply Chartreuse and Kraft.I die cut a couple kraft colored hills and attached them to the card base at different dimensions. I then assembled a layered tree and adhered it between the hills. This ones a little more girly. I began by pulling out a few Jillibean Soup pattern papers out of my stash.Again, I die cut and layered a couple hills and tucked a pattern paper tree in between. Then finished the card off with a button and a stamped sentiment (which happens to be the only stamping on this card, gasp!)Lastly, a card featuring the Trendy Tree Tops Die Collection. I began by die cutting four 1 3/4" circles from different Melon Berry pattern papers and then attached them to a Rustic White card base.
Then die cut three Trendy Tree Tops heart circles from Melon Berry cardstock. Stamped one with a Strawberry Patch sentiment (again, the only stamping) and attached over the pattern paper circles with dimensional adhesive. Finished the card off with the remaining die cut hearts.

Well, that's it from me today but do remember... both of these sets will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think so far, so please share!

Trendy Tree Tops Day Three

Hi there! Just popping in today to share a couple more samples using the latest addition to my Stamping Simply lineup... Trendy Tree Tops. Let me get right to it!... Today, I wanted to focus on the layering abilities of these Trendy Tree Tops images and the coordinating Trendy Tree Tops dies. First up a layered heart tree.I die cut and stamped the heart tree top and layered it over a die cut Melon Berry notched flower (from the soon to be release Notched Flower Die Collection). Die cut a Smokey Shadow trunk and attached. Finished the card off with a sentiment and a gray rhinestone. For the last card of today, I've added a layer of felt. I began this card by stamping the bird cage (from Love Birds) in Hawaiian Shores ink. I then layered a Trendy Tree Tops bird and sentiment over the cage.Next, I topped the card off with a layered branch. Here's A Note: The 1 3/4 circle (from the Limitless Layers: 1 3/4" Circle Die Collection) creates the perfect mat layer for any of the tree tops included in the Trendy Tree Tops collection. I die cut and stamped both the tree top and branch and attached together. Then layered the tree top over a die cut felt circle and adhered directly to the card base.

Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember... this set is available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th, for $15. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think so far, so please feel free to share!

Strawberry Patch

Hello and welcome to the third day of the Papertrey Ink April Countdown and the first Design Team group post. Today's post is all about the new Strawberry Patch and Strawberry Patch Sentiment sets, along with its perfect match... the Berry Basket Die. We've been busy creating projects that have been perfectly picked from the patch. In preparation for an upcoming birthday, here is a gift ensemble perfect for my dear friends sweet little daughter...A berry basket filled with a strawberry themed tee and hair clips. It all started with this basket. I die cut four sides of this Berry Basket from Simply Chartreuse pattern paper and assembled. Then tied two Pure Poppy ribbon handles on either side.I die cut and stamped a Layerz Mat Stack #1, folded the top over and attached to the front of the basket. Then die cut and stamped a sentiment banner, attached with dimensional adhesive and embellished with a button.I purchased a simple white toddler tee, which was already embellished with a few white fabric flowers, and simply stitched a couple buttons and a die cut felt strawberry into place. Here's a tip: After die cutting and before attaching, I embellished the berries with a few dots of Liquid Pearls and let them dry completely. Then assembled a few extra strawberries to embellish a few coordinating hair clips. Here's A Tip: I attached the hair clips to a die cut button card by punching three half circles (using a small circle punch) from the sides and then clipped each into place.Next, the coordinating card. I simply stamped a Rustic White card base with Strawberry Patch images in a color combo of Smokey Shadow, Pure Poppy and Simply ChartreuseDie cut and stamped an additional large strawberry and attached it to the card base with dimensional adhesive. To finish things up, I wrapped the entire ensemble in clear cellophane and topped with a Pure Poppy bow. Then stamped the card envelope with the same strawberry images as above, inserted the card and attached to the base of the package.

Well, there you have it. It sure is nice to have this gift ready with time to spare too. I hope you've enjoyed! Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...

Trendy Tree Tops Day Two

Hey there! Thanks for joining me for day two of the Papertrey ink April Countdown. I'm back today to bring you more of my new set... Trendy Tree Tops and from the looks of it, it sounds as if some of you are as excited about this set as I am. So let me get started with a couple more samples. This time around, I'm thinking a little out of the box and veering from the traditional tree image...First up... the branch. Turned the tree trunk onto its side and stamped in Smokey Shadow ink. Die cut a file folder type edge from Soft Stone cardstock, stamped with a sentiment, wrapped with ribbon and attached to the card base.Topped the branch off with the circular bird image in Spring Moss ink and then layered the leaves in Simply Chartreuse ink. Die cut the heart (more on this later) from Hawaiian Shores cardstock, added a touch of Glossy Accents and attached.Up next... the circular focal image. Stamped a row of circles (same image used yesterday) in a fun color combo onto a white card base. Finished the card off with a sentiment from Think Big Favorites #15.

Well, that concluded my second look at Trendy Tree Tops. Just remember... this set is available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th, for $15. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think so far, so please feel free to share!

Introducing Trendy Tree Tops Day One

I'm back this month with a new stamp set for the April Papertrey Ink release, I'm happy to introduce to you... Trendy Tree Tops. Trendy Tree Tops is a fresh and new tree building set. This set features 1 tree trunk with 4 interchangeable tree tops, 3 coordinating images and 4 uniquely detailed sentiments. To top it all off... a set of 4 dies coordinate beautifully with the entire set. Trendy Tree Tops stamp set will be sold for $15, beginning April 15th at Papertrey Ink.

How about a couple samples?!...First up, a simple stamping of a tree top, trunk and a sentiment. I kept things super simple to really let the detailing in this tree top image be the star of the show. Stamped the tree top in Melon Berry and the trunk and sentiment in Smokey Shadow. Finished the card off with an embossed cardstock strip and a couple Fine Linen buttons.Next up, a single layer card... which I started by stamping the three tree trunks in Smokey Shadow ink along the base of the card front.Stamped the tree tops in a color combo of Melon Berry, Simply Chartreuse and Aqua Mist. Then finished the card off with a sentiment.

That's it from me today, but I've still got a lot more to share! So, I hope you'll join me for the remainder of the countdown!
