Hi there! Welcome to day one of the August Papertrey Ink countdown.
So glad you could join me! Today I bring you a look at one of Dawn McVey's new sets. Fall Florals... A gorgeous new floral set that's perfect for fall, and honestly... all year around! Create some unique floral accents with this set of products.
Play with layering for lots of options. Give it an autumn look with oranges and
yellow, or experiment with pinks and purples for looks appropriate for other
seasons.
A few black rhinestones and a sentiment from the Scripted stamp set finish the card off perfectly.
Today entire ensemble sticks to an overall color theme of pinks, oranges, and teals. Yet, it lends itself to two completely different looks. Proving just how versatile the Fall Florals stamp set truly is.My first card yields a softer look, these two are a bold contrast. They feature a color combo of black, tropical teal, Hawaiian shores, hibiscus burst, and orange zest that pops off of the white card base.
As for the ink application, this one features a bit of stamping with water. Here's How: I inked up the solid flower bases, sprayed it with a bit of water, and then stamped. Over that I stamped the dots in the same color.
Here's How: I embossed the sentiment in black and then simply stamped the solid circles over that. Here's a Tip: To prevent smearing, press a paper towel onto the embossing to pickup the excess ink.
Well, that concludes today's look at Fall Florals. Just remember... all that you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning August 15th.
Now, be sure to visit Papertrey Ink blog for more details on today's featured new product.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
