Welcome to the final day of the Papertrey Ink August countdown and the second design team group post day. Today's group post is all about the new stamp set Mighty Oak and it's coordinating Cover Plate die. I just love a versatile stamp set! The Mighty Oak stamp set is exactly that. I hope your inspiration folder fills to the brim with useful tips and ideas after today group post. I know mine will.
Here's what I've got for you today...
I knew I wanted to start with a neutral base and kraft cardstock fit the bill perfectly. I die cut the Mighty Oak Cover Plate die from kraft and used only the tree trunk here.
I then cut the leaves from rustic white cardstock and stamped them in an assortment of autumn colors... summer sunrise, canyon clay and simply chartreuse. Then attached them randomly to the branches at different heights using dimensional adhesive.
Then finished the card off with a trimmed sentiment, from the same stamp set.
My second piece of inspiration (found here) for an nontraditional use and look for Mighty Oak stamp set.
I stamped medallions using a single leaf image to create this colorful one-layer card.
Hand stamped large and small medallions. I then finished the card off with a sentiment, stamped in the same position as in the inspiration piece.Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember... Mighty Oak and it's coordinating Cover Plate die will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning August 15th.
