Vegetable Garden + Live Love Life & Bigger Blooms Day Four

Hello and welcome to the fourth day of the Papertrey Ink June countdown and the first Design Team group post. Today's group post is all about showcasing the new Vegetable Garden.  I just love the detail captured by Nichole in this set! These special touches take a project up another notch with a single press of a stamp.  Clean and simple is transformed when such detailed stamps are in hand.  Check it out...

Please note:  All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on June 15.
First up is Vegetable Garden paired with the seed packet frame from the Garden Variety II stamp set.
I stamped the frame, masked it off using a Post it Note and then stamped the artichoke inside.  Finished the card off with an impressed cardstock strip (used the vineyard impression plate) and a button tied with ribbon.
Here's an almost one layer card (minus the sentiment box) featuring a fresh bunch of crisply stamped veggies.
Seriously, the detail on these images is so impressive!  In no way is this simple card lacking any detail.  I had fun planing and stamping this one!
Up next, a little Live Love Life.  As I mentioned yesterday, this set gives you two options for the word "you", this time I opted for the chevron detailed letter to emphasize "you make my heart happy".
I originally stamped this panel perfectly horizontal, but after playing around with its arrangement on this kraft card base I figured it needed to be a little off.  Especially since the stamping was so straight.  So I went for it and cut the bottom and left edges at an angle.  This way, once mounted the arrows were still lined up horizontal with the bottom edge.  Gosh, that's a tough one to explain.  I hope it makes sense.  :)
Lastly, a look at Bigger Blooms.  This time I tucked a small arrangement behind a raised cardstock panel.  A little unexpected touch.
These leaves are from both Bigger Blooms and Mini Blooms.  The sentiment is from Bigger Blooms.

Well, that concludes my look at Vegetable Garden, Live Love Life and Bigger BloomsJust remember... these stamp sets will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning June 15th

Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...

  2. Really enjoy your one layer designs....as a side note, I understood your explanation perfectly for LIVE LOVE LIFE. Maybe the words you were looking for were "This way, once mounted the arrows were still lined up horizontal with the bottom edge "of the card base"...

  10. White on white embossed ~ divine. Your plethora of veggies is so colorful, and the small layered sentiment is perfect. Have to admit the angled layer of arrows looks terrific on your "Heart Happy" card. Your floral bouquet tucked behind the sentiment layer looks fabulous, Maile. You always come up with such different ideas ~ love 'em!

  11. Amazing designs, Maile! Love the elegance of the vine impressed panel on the white card, and the "tucked in" blooms on the last card - just two of my favourite details on this wonderful post :)
