Hey everyone! Thanks for joining me today, for the February Papertrey Ink Senior DT challenge. This time around we are bringing back Tremendous Treats: Valentine! I began today's project by wanting to create something that would be quick and easy to assemble, especially since I have to create 30+ for my sons class for Valentine's Day. Yet something that was unique at the same time.
Have a look!...
I was busy at work a few days ago folding these. :) Paper airplanes constructed from computer paper. This is the start of the valentines. Here's How: Each plane was constructed from a 4 1/4" x 5 1/5" piece of computer paper, this way I could get 4 from one sheet. I played around with a few different folds until I was happy with just one. The Internet is full of different folding styles.
I used a sentiment and the small heart from Tremendous Treats: Valentine to turn the simple paper planes into small notes of love.
Once all planes were folded it was easy to go about stamping each one in the same fashion.
But after a while I got tired of cranking out one design and switched things up by stamping a few of the fun child like images included in Tremendous Treats: Valentine.
Here' a few close up shots of the different designs. The airplane on the paper airplane design is the one we like best. :)
A sweet pup with a few hearts.
How cute is this message?! Maybe not the perfect sentiment for a paper airplane valentine, but I think it works.
Perfect for both boys and girls.
Once done I had my son write his name on the underside, that way his friends knew exactly who this cool valentine was from. If you wanted, a message could be written on the inside fold too.Well, that's it from me today. I hope you enjoyed this little idea. Now be sure to visit the other Papertrey Ink senior design team girls for more Tremendous Treats: Valentine goodness...
Thanks for stopping by today!
