Hello and welcome to the fourth day of the Papertrey Ink January Countdown and the first Design Team group post. Today's group post is all about showcasing the new Hands of Time. Not only in card form, but also in scrapbook form!
Be sure to scroll all the way down, I've snuck in a card featuring the new Square Prints too!
I've had so much fun with today challenge and I'm super excited to share my scrapbook page with you! But first, the card...
I just love, love, love the size of this clock image! I truly think what this stamping world needs is more super sized images just like this one. :) I began this card by stamping it in Hero Arts wet cement ink. The numbers were stamped in a color combo of melon berry, limeade ice, pure poppy and new leaf.
Stamped the sentiment in a fun formation and finished the card off with a couple stunning die cut clock hands and a Studio Calico gem.
Now, onto my favorite project of the day...
The layout!!! This page is a special one, it documents our time spent as a family on Christmas day. Typically our Christmas day is spent entirely with both our immediate families. But this year it was just us three. Honestly, before the big day, I was wondering if we would enjoy a Christmas all to our selves. And boy did we?!!! We did spend a couple hours with extended family in the morning, but the majority of the day was spent with just us. And it was perfect!
The clock was stamped in the same fashion as above (on the card).
The sentiment was stamped and trimmed into strips.
The Hand of Time stamp set and coordinating dies were combined with a number of embellishments and papers from the Studio Calico Wonderland collection. Here you can see a bit of gray twine, which I recently picked up. Love it!
And to hide my handwriting, a hidden journaling card. Please excuse my imperfect stamping job. I used the super cool Studio Calico roller date stamp here and I have yet to figure out exactly how to use it without making a mess. However, I did end up using it properly on the layout itself, check it out in the full layout shot a couple photos above. :) Love this thing!
And finally a quick look at Square Prints...
Two rows of orange zest and melon berry take center stage on this stunner.
Stamped a few squares to start the two rows. Then finished each off with coordinating cardstock strips and a few My Minds Eyes enamel dots. The "hello" is from the Embroidered Blooms stamp set.
Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember... Square Prints, Hands of Time stamp sets and coordinating product will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning January 15th.
