Postmarks Revisited

Hey everyone! Thanks for joining me today, for the June Papertrey Ink Senior DT challenge. This time around we are bringing back Postmarks! It's been fun pulling out this useful set.  Definitely an oldie but goodie!  I've whipped up a card using this set in a modern, fun and unexpected color combo and layout.

First up my inspiration pieces....
It can be found here.  I loved the look of the layered images focused on a small portion of the space.
Using the above as inspiration and a color combo of Hawaiian shores, sweet blush, limeade ice and Hero Arts wet cement I came up with this simple design.
I trimmed the edges in the same fashion as the card I made previously here (third card down).
Here's How: I began by trimming the base edge at an angle.
Then aligned the base along the edge of my paper cutter and trim from the top left corner down.
This gives me a perfectly angled corner.
I then attached the trimmed piece to the card base with dimensional adhesive and trimmed off the access with scissors.

Well, that's it from me today. Now be sure to visit the other Papertrey Ink senior design team girls for more Take Note goodness...
Thanks for stopping by today!

  3. Great idea to allow more of the background craft color to show. Must find that 'wet cement' color, seen you use it before, and love it! Another big fan of your color combos!
