Friends 'Til the End

Hey everyone! Thanks for joining me today, for the March Papertrey Ink Senior DT challenge. This time around we are bringing back Friends 'Til the End! It's been fun pulling out this unique and lovely set. Friends 'Til the End is a timeless set. It's in a class of its own, one that can fit into pretty much any different style. Today, my projects are done more in a trendy/modern style, incorporating a touch of gold. And this set gets the job done just right.
Have a look!...
First, my inspiration found here.
For today's little duo, I found inspiration via the pink and gold combo.  As well as the polka dots on the very pretty bowl above.
A simple and modern card with fun elements and techniques all over it.  Just the way I like 'em.  The large Friends 'Til the End flower was stamped in pigment gold ink and then heat embossed in gold powder onto some sweet blush pattern paper.
A couple of glitter tape strips were tucked under the flower panel.  Then two cardstock strips were trimmed at two different widths.  The wider strip was heat embossed with a sentiment and then attached with some dimensional adhesive.  The smaller strip was adhered directly to the flower panel, for more of a flush look.
Last (but not least) the tag.  This sweet tag was created in a very smiler fashion as the card.

Here's How:  Three tags were die cut using the Tag Sale #5 die.  One from pattern paper and two from white cardstock.  The pattern paper and one white tag were both trimmed into two pieces and then reassembled back onto the remaining die cut tag.  The large flower was then stamped and heat embossed in gold.  A circle was punched from some gold glitter tape and place onto the flower center.  Then the tag was finished off with a sentiment strip and tied with some silk ribbon.

Well, that's it from me today. Now be sure to visit the other Papertrey Ink senior design team girls for more Friends 'Til the End goodness...
Thanks for stopping by today!

  4. Beautiful. Just WOW. And thank you for the directions. So you assembled the tag *before* stamping -- why have I never thought of that. So much easier!

  18. oh wow Maile! These are super stunning and elegant! I really love how on the tag you did it half with patterned paper and half without it. Very, very pretty! And I love the gold! I've been seeing quite a bit of it lately. I think I better get some gold ink!
