Introducing Happy Hydrangea Day One

I'm back this month with a new stamp set for the May Papertrey Ink release, I'm happy to introduce to you... Happy Hydrangea. Happy Hydrangea is a clean, classic and traditionally styled hydrangea set. This set features 12 different hydrangea images and elements, 1 oval frame, 1 bow and 4 fitting sentiments. To top it all off... a set of 4 dies coordinate beautifully with the set. Happy Hydrangea stamp set will be sold for $24, beginning May 15th at Papertrey Ink.

How about a couple samples?!...

First up, a Happy Birthday layered number.  I began playing around on scrap paper to find the perfect hydrangea arrangement that would fit snugly in the center of the card front.  Then stamped the large hydrangea blossoms and leaves onto a Rustic White card base in Sweet Blush and Spring Moss.

I then die cut and stamped the small hydrangea blossoms in Melon Berry and attached them with dimensional adhesive.  Next, I layered a die cut "Happy" on top of the blossoms and finished the card off with a "Birthday" sentiment strip (this "Happy Birthday" die cut and sentiment are actually from the Pretty Peony collection).

Next up, I used the hydrangea stem image.  I carefully inked up the blossom and stem using different inks, some using Spring Moss and Spring Rain and others in Spring Moss and Winter Wisteria.  Then stamped them along a Rustic White card base.

I then die cut and stamped one final hydrangea stem, wrapped it with a ribbon bow and attached with dimensional adhesive.  Finished the card off with one of the Happy Hydrangea sentiments, stamped in Smokey Shadow ink.
