Embellish Color Challenge with Paper Piecing

Time for another Embellish Color Challenge! Check it out... The challenge: To use the colors pictured above, along with a paper piecing technique in your projects. The fabulous sponsor: My Favorite Things. Check out there amazing line of stamps and supplies here.

Here is what I came up with using the Sheltering Tree stamp set and Sheltering Tree & Leaf Trio Dies...
Started by stamping a white panel with the tree and colored the woodgrain with two shades of brown. Die cut leaves from Simply Chartreuse, Spring Moss & Harvest Gold and attached to the ends of the tree branches. Hand cut a couple hills from Simply Chartreuse and Spring Moss and attached them at the base of the tree. Attached the tree panel to a Simply Chartreuse card base (measuring 4 3/4" square).
Cut a circle from a kraft cardstock square and attached it over the tree panel with dimensional adhesive. Stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock, cut it out and attached. Stamped acorns onto scrap cardstock (SC, SM & Kraft), cut out acorn tops and bottoms, assembled together and then attached.

Now it's your turn to join in on the challenge fun! Look here for the challenge details, the Design Teams amazing inspiration and a fabulous prize. Hope to see your challenge creations soon!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great one!
