Wplus9 August 2010 Release: Guiding Light

Hello, and welcome to the first day of the exciting Wplus9 August release! This month marks the 6 month anniversary of Wplus9 and the celebration is starting today! Be sure to tune in for the next few days as the entire Wplus9 design team joins in on the countdown sneak peeks.

Today, we are featuring Guiding Light, an amazing nautical themed set, and the coordinating Guiding Lights Sentiments. Guiding Light includes 15 images and 2 sentiments. Guiding Light Sentiments includes 9 additional sentiments. Check out Dawn's blog for more details. Today's card showcases 1 of the sentiments and 7 of the images... Started out by randomly stamping the 3 different starfish and 2 sand dollars in Versamark onto Enchanted Evening cardstock. I love how this set includes a number of smaller images which work perfectly together for building your own pattern paper. Next, attached it to a white card base and wrapped with baker's twine.

To create the focal image, I first die cut a spiral notebook page from white cardstock. Stamped the rock images three times on scrap white cardstock, cut out multiple rock layers, assembled together and trimmed to fit the corner of the notebook page. Stamped and heat embossed the light house onto Pure Poppy cardstock, cut out and attached between the rock layers. Finished the card off by stamping the sentiment (from Guiding Light Sentiments) and attaching the notebook page onto the card base.

Hope you've enjoyed today's sneak peek, be sure to see what the rest of the design team has to share with you today....

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
