Gold Luxe Card Set

Hey there! I'm back today for the final day of the March Papertrey Ink coundown.  Everything you've seen peeks of will be available tomorrow!

And of course I bring you more... Splits: Celebrate and the Shaped Sayings: Birthday die.  This time in a kraft, black and gold theme. 

First up, I wanted to share with you how this splits series (especially this Splits: Celebrate set) pairs beautifully with some word dies.

Here I've placed a "hello" golden die cut from the Bloomin' Cute Sentiments dies into the space provided. It was die cut from a piece of luxe gold cardstock. 

For my last card today I've pulled out a sheet from my Black & White All Over paper pad. Trimmed off the edges a bit and attached it to a kraft card base. 

On top of that I layered a True Black cardstock strip and tied a bit of gold baker's twine into place. To finish it off I die cut the Shaped Sayings: Birthday die from more gold card stock and nestled it into the twine bow.

Celebrate Card Duo

Hi folks! Welcome to day four of the March Papertrey Ink countdown.

 Today I bring you a bit more... Splits: Celebrate and the Shaped Sayings: Birthday die.

This happy card features Splits: Celebrate! and uses only one portion of the frame.

This frame can be stamped upside down or right side up and looks great both ways.  Here I've used only one side and stamped it repeatedly in a color combo Stormy Sea, Ocean Tides, and Mint Julep. Then topped it off with the sentiment in True Black and a cream baker's twine bow. 

I shared a preview (or more like a work in progress shot) of this card on my instagram feed here. I mentioned how I carefully hand stamped a sheet of this b&w pattern paper (using the soon to be released Bloomin' Cute stamp set) only to butcher it with a swell idea that turned out to be a terrible mistake. However, I was able to save a small portion of it and use it to create this card here. 

I topped that pattern paper with a couple of Ocean Tides and Mint Julep cardstock strips.  Then finished the card off with a True Black Shaped Sayings: Birthday die cut and a wrapping of baker's twine.

More Splits and Shaped Sayings: Birthday

Hi! Welcome to day three of the March Papertrey Ink countdown.

Today I bring you a bit more... Splits: Celebrate and the Shaped Sayings: Birthday die.  

Up first, I've paired Splits: Celebrate with the sentiment from last months Splits: Just A Note stamp set. Exactly what this monthly Splits series was meant to do... mix and match. 

The splits ribbon frame and sentiment were stamped first in True Black.  On top of that I stamped a few blooms and leaves from this months new floral set... Bloomin' Cute.  I love the end result, how the florals look as if they've been perfectly place behind the ribbon frame. All stamped in a pretty color combo of Lovely Lady and Vintage Jadeite. 

Up next, I've used Bloomin' Cute again but this time with my new Shaped Sayings: Birthday die.

Creating a beautiful floral back drop in a color combo of Lovely Lady, Raspberry Fizz and Stormy Sea that's perfect for layering the Shaped Sayings: Birthday die cut over.  I love how the white shaped sentiment pops off of the colorful background!

Introducing Shaped Sayings: Birthday

Hello and welcome to day two of the March Papertrey Ink countdown!  

Today I'm super excited to bring you a look at the rest of what I've designed for this months release... Shaped Sayings: Birthday die.  

This one is a follow up to last months Shaped Sayings: Easter die, but in birthday form.  I did not receive my die in time last month to showcase it then, so I'm excited to bring you a look at this months take. With it being all one piece and frame accents built in there are a lot of techniques to be had.

Here I've simply die cut it from pattern paper and attached it with dimensional adhesive. A bit of gold paper and gold baker's twine takes this simple card up a notch. 

Just A Note: My idea behind these sentiment dies was not only to create a bit of a frame shape, but also to create a way to quickly attached the narrow font to your projects by hiding your adhesive behind the curved details. 

Oh, and I couldn't finish up today without another look at Splits: Celebrate too...

This time I've used the top and bottom portions of the die to accent the "Celebrate!" coordinating sentiment.

I first cut it from a sheet of Watercolor Wonder pattern paper, stamped the ribbon frame in smoky shadow, trimmed off by hand the bottom and top portions and attached them to a kraft card base after stamping the sentiment.

Introducing Splits: Celebrate

Hi there! Welcome to day one of the March Papertrey Ink countdown.

For this months release I bring you a couple of additions to my Stamping Simply lineup.  But for today I'll begin with just a peek at one... Splits: Celebrate stamp set + die! 

This great bow and all it's curls is just right for wrapping around the included celebrate sentiment. Or you can interchange it with the sentiment from the Splits set from February! Add pops of color with watercoloring or markers. Embrace your artistic side!

Today I was super creative with the use of the die.  Here I've die cut the splits from a piece of Watercolor Wonder pattern paper (on a slant), stamped the coordinating image and sentiment into the opening and then attached the patter paper panel with dimensional adhesive.
