Introducing Make It Market Mini Kit: Wee Folk

Hello and welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink April countdown!

Today's group post is all about the new Make It Market Mini Kit: Wee Folk, designed by Betsy Veldman!  This sweet kit is full of adorable images, perfect for welcoming a baby into the world.  But I look forward to using these friendly animal images over and over again for an assortment of other occasions too!

Check out what I've got for you today.  Hang in there until the end, I've got a bit of my new Black & White All Over pattern paper collection and Super Swoosh dies collection too...
Here's a super sweet and simple baby card.  This baby can be whipped up in no time!
After stamping I framed the card with a few strips of pattern paper, matching up the dark and light pink corners. Then finished the card off with a wooden button and twine.
In my card stash I have a need for baby girl cards.  So, I present to you another sweet pink card.  This one's a bit more involved then the first, but it's still fairly easy to reproduce.
These adorable bunnies were stamped in a color combo of sweet blush, aqua mist and raspberry fizz.
Lastly, I've combined the Wee Folk stamp set with the polka dot sheet from the Black & White All Over pattern paper collection.
After trimming polka dot pattern paper strips I stamped the tiny bird (from the Wee Folk stamp set) in black randomly onto each strip, trimmed the ends and attached.  Finished the card off with the "thanks" Super Swoosh die cut and black rhinestones.

Well, that concludes today's look at Make It Market Mini Kit: Wee Folk. Just remember... all that you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th.  More details on these products can be found at the Papertrey Ink blog.

Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Introducing Seeds of Knowledge

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink April countdown!

Today's group post is focused on Seeds of KnowledgePencil Blooms dies, as well as the Pint Size Wrap dies and containers!  A pretty bouquet is perfect for many occasions.  I love the fact that the flower pencil bouquets featured today can continue blooming well past any fresh cut flowers expiration date.  These little beauties could put a smile on someone's face for months.

Check out what I've got for you today and be sure to hang in there until the end, I've got a couple new sneak peeks of my new Black & White All Over pattern paper collection and Super Swoosh dies collection too...
This blooming ensemble features a color combo of harvest gold, berry sorbet, pure poppy, new leaf and true black.  Inspired by this gorgeous project here.
These blooms were die cut from the window pane pattern featured in the Black & White All Over pattern paper collection.  I added a bit of color to each flower by pressing the ink pad directly onto the die cuts, repeatedly until fully covered in color.
Using the Moments Inked: Edged die I was able to cut by hand a number of long leaves to insert into the cup alongside the pencils.
The cup design mimics the card design.
Both the card and cup feature striped pattern paper from the Black & White All Over pattern paper collection.
The leaves, flowers and sentiment are from the Seeds of Knowledge stamp set.
Lastly, a look at another pattern paper sheet also from the Black & White All Over pattern paper collection. Balloons, in outline for ready for a pop of color or to use as is.
For today's project I've colored each with Copic markers.  This is the pink and purple version.
And this one's the blue and green version.  Each one is topped off with a "congratulations" Super Swoosh die cut.

Well, that concludes today's look at Seeds of Knowledge, Pencil Blooms dies, as well as the Pint Size Wrap dies and containers. Just remember... all that you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th.  More details on these products can be found at the Papertrey Ink blog.

Introducing Pencil Me In

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink April countdown!

Today is the first group post and it's all about the new Pencil Me In collection (by Lexi Daly) and the Pencil Pouch & Trim dies (by Erin Lincolin).

Check out what I've got for you today.  Be sure to hang in there until the end, I've got a new sneak peek of my new Black & White All Over paper collection and Super Swoosh dies too...
First Pencil Me In... this mix and match pencil stamp set is a fun one!
I took the pencil design and turned it into color pencils to create this colorful and simple card.

Here's a second design for you. It's a bit of an out of the box layout, but I dig it.  Gives this one layer card a spin.
Up next, the Pencil Pouch & Trim dies.
I love this concept!  It's a great way to keep a pen or pencil handy.  Check out all the details on this product at both Nichole's and Erin's blogs.
I truly had a ton of fun wrapping and stamping pencils!  With this Pencil Me In collection it doesn't get any easier then stamp, peel, stick, and roll.
I loved the perfectly placed space which allows you to customize each one to your liking.  These will make fabulous gift for sure!
One final project... using my newest designs.
I paired this sheet (from the Black & White All Over paper collection) with the large image from the Irresistibly Ikat stamp set.

Well, that concludes today's look at Pencil Me In collection and Pencil Pouch & Trim dies. Just remember... all that you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th.  More details on these products can be found at the Papertrey Ink blog.

Enclosed: Apple, Tucked In: Thank You, Lunchbox Love (plus Black & White All Over and Super Swoosh)

Hi there! Welcome to day two of the April Papertrey Ink countdown.

I'm here today to share a few samples using a few of this months new products... Enclosed: Apple, Tucked In: Thank You, and Lunchbox Love (all by Dawn McVey). With a little bit of Black & White All Over pattern paper collection and Super Swoosh dies thrown in too.

Check it out...
Here's a trio of projects using Dawn's new product.  I hope I've done her proud.
First up a sample of all three sets... Enclosed: Apple, Tucked In: Thank You, and Lunchbox Love.  I die cut the "thanks" apple from black cardstock and layered it over a bit of watercolor smooshing.  The watercolor effect was applied onto one of the framed pattern paper included in the Black & White All Over pattern pack.
I trimmed the Tucked In: Thank You sentiment and used portions of it on the cover and the inside.  Finished the card off with a couple cute butterflies to match, they are from the Lunchbox Love set.
Here's an adorable little lunchbox note created using Enclosed: Apple die and Lunchbox Love stamp set.
Stamped the happy face onto polka dot pattern paper and topped the note off with a bit of twine stapled into place and then tied.
Decorated the inside to match.
The Lunchbox Love set include a tiny heart which I stamped onto stripped pattern paper in a color combo of pure poppy, berry sorbet and harvest gold.
Topped it off with twine, a sentiment and a happy face.
Now, onto a bit more Black & White All Over and Super Swoosh.  I like to call this pattern the window pane look.
This "with love" die comes in two parts, makes it easy to create a second look by staking the words.  A strand of twine was stapled into place (through all paper layer to hold everything together) using my tiny attacher and then tide into a bow.

Well, that concludes today's look at Enclosed: Apple, Tucked In: Thank You, and Lunchbox Love. Just remember... all that you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th

Introducing Black & White All Over and Super Swoosh

Hi there! Welcome to day one of the April Papertrey Ink countdown.

I am so excited about today feature!  Today I bring you my next designs in my Stamping Simply line up.  Let me introduce you to the Black & White All Over paper collection and Super Swoosh die collection!

Check it out...
Black & White All Over paper collection...  These sheet are sized perfectly to fit your card fronts. Add your own pops of color to these black and white basics using stamps, paints, markers, pencils or whatever else you wish! You will be able to get a completely different look each time you use these!

Or use them as is like I've done here.  They look great that way too!
Super Swoosh die collection... After releasing the original Swoosh collection in February, I knew I needed to create a super sized version of the dies.  The extra long length will allow you to add them to horizontal cards or even at an angle.

They also happen to be perfect for adding a pop of color to these Black & White All Over papers.
Here's a simple sentiment page from the Black & White All Over paper collection.
I dressed it up with a bit of soft stone ink (using the smooshing technique) and a few Bigger Blooms images.  These Black & White All Over pages make for super simple card making!
Again, these Black & White All Over papers look pretty amazing all on their own.  Plus, they pair together perfectly.  These are 2 of the 9 designs included in this paper collection.
I've added a pop of shimmer by die cutting this "birthday" Super Swoosh die from luxe gold cardstock.  Just fabulous!!!

Well, that concludes today's look at the Black & White All Over paper and Super Swoosh die collections. Just remember... all that you have seen today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th

Danielle Flanders is working her magic with these items today too, you don't want to miss it!!!

Revisiting Love & Marriage

Thanks for joining me today for the April Papertrey Ink Senior DT Challenge. This time around we are bringing back Love & Marriage!
Love & Marriage includes a lovely assortment of images, suitable for many techniques. I've worked with a couple very popular watercolor techniques for today's projects and this stamp set compliments them so very nicely.
First up, I've pressed my ink pads onto this tree block stamp.  Aqua mist from the top corner and limeade ice from the bottom corner.  Before stamping I sprayed a bit of water onto my stamp to help blend the colors and create a watercolor look.  I also tweaked the scalloped border image to follow the curve of the Sentiment Splits: Curve Vertical die cut.
Then topped the card off with a coordinating sentiment, stamped hearts and a ribbon bow.
This next one began with the smooshing technique (see Betsy's tutorial here).
I smooshed color onto a sheet of cardstock, stamped the hearts on top, and then trimmed by hand leaving a nice broad edge.

Well, that's it from me today. Hope you enjoy this month feature! Now be sure to visit the other Papertrey Ink senior design team girls for more Love & Marriage goodness...
Thanks for stopping by today!
